I've written several articles about the ease and convenience of using casino markers and I also pointed out that if you have an occasional "problem" paying a marker, a phone call to the cage or your host can usually buy you some "free time."
What have you heard about the "extra free time" they give you?
Today a host with Caesars Entertainment told me that if you don't pay by your deadline you will first get a courtesy call before they deposit your marker in the bank (a marker is a check on your account). The courtesy call will come a couple of days after your marker is due.
I had never heard about the courtesy call before and always thought it was up to the player to call first.
