Thread: Caesars Palace has cut workers at the Cage

  1. #1
If the lines are any longer at the cage at Caesars Palace it's because Caesars has cut the number of cage workers -- the folks who cash your chips or hand you money.

A friend noticed that lines were a bit longer on a recent visit and while in line, a "supervisor type" came out from the back with a clipboard and started writing something -- and then disappeared. When the friend reached the cashier he asked about the "clipboard lady" and was told that the number of cashiers was cut and they were monitoring traffic and wait times.

    Anyone else?

I always laugh to myself when there's a long line and you see 1 or more supervisors "monitoring" rather than stepping in and taking care of a few customers.

They have significantly cut cashiers and other employees at their Illinois/Indiana casinos.

After cutting refills of soap and shampoo for guests you had to figure this was coming.

    Hi Alan:

There is a cage in one of the High Limit sections at Ceasars Palace. There is never a line. I have cashed in tickets there, do they also cash in chips?

The cage in the Palace Court is not 24 hours. Not manned in the overnight hours.

They also do a poor job looking at the Seven Stars line, not calling them in priority fashion as they are supposed to.

This leaves Seven Stars in the uncomfortable position to tell the other customers not to walk forward because the Seven Stars line is supposed to move first, which often creates anger and confrontations.

The other night at Rincon there was only one cashier at the main cage where I went to redeem my free play. There was no one for 7 Stars and no one for Diamonds. So I got at the end of the line with everyone else. There were 8 people ahead of me, which I think was not good service for a Sunday evening. But the line did move relatively quickly and when there were four in line ahead of me they did open a second window.

At least you didn't have to wait too long. But it's really sad that the service has become so bad...
