Thread: Diamond Lounge

Rincon does not give free alcoholic beverages in it's diamond Lounge.

  2. #2
No free alcohol at Rincon -- ever. All alcoholic drinks must be purchased. Cannot be comped.

Well. I went to the diamond lounge for the second time, to observe. One seat was available at the bar so I sat. It was very odd. A lady sat next to me with a chihuahua in her handbag. They were passing out plates of mini calzones. She had a little bag and was stuffing the calzones in the bag. Strange.....Anyway, a couple sat at the bar ordered a drink. The bartender charged them $25 for a beer and a Jameson w/gingerale. Yikes!!

That's a bummer. At least at Cherokee, where they charge for drinks, they reduce the prices in the Diamond Lounge. You can get a glass of wine or a mixed drink for the same prices as a beer. Not too bad a deal, but drinks should be free.

I'm not so sure the guy ordered a beer(that's what my husband said). I know the gal did order the mixed drink. The total was $25. The "dog lady" was drinking a Rockstar and got one to go. I believe that was free. I'll be at Rincon Thursday and Friday for my anniversary. Lol. I'll find out more info then.

    Vpnewbie,

It's against the law in the state of California to serve free alcohol. Even at the special events at Rincon they are not allowed to serve free alcohol.
We haven't been in the Diamond Lounge at Rincon in years. I like the the Diamond Lounge at Harrahs Las Vegas, Flamingo and Planet Hollywood. Have you been to any of those?

I have not Nash. I just made diamond a few weeks ago for the first time.

That's funny. I am the owner of a hair salon and was always under the assumption that I could serve wine/alcohol as long as I didn't charge for it. Hmmmm

Nash, you don't happen to be a man that looks like the skipper that wears a military hat are you. And I mean no respect by that. I love the skipper. I see him a lot when I'm at Rincon.

    Vpnewbie,

Oh that's funny. I am a woman. What color military hat is that man wearing? I may know him. LOL!

I'm not sure about serving wine/ alcohol in your salon. I have been offered it in the salon I go to before. You should probably call the state's alcohol, tobacco and firearms dept. to find out for sure. If you get cited it could be a heavy fine.

I was told by a very nice gentleman I was sitting next to on Labor Day weekend. At Rincon Diamond is no big deal. But, he said in Vegas they really treat you good.

I don't serve alcohol. Thanks Nash. Lol, that's funny you're a woman. I never knew.

Black or dark hat. He's always playing vp on 3116 or the machine to the right. He was at 3116 Saturday night. He had been there for a while so I went into the high roller room. It was so crowded in the casino. I hate when its like that at Rincon. Anyway, I came back and he was still on the machine. I played Bp on the machine to the right of him. I only played a few hands and was DEALT 4 Aces. Played until he left then went to 3116. A guy sat next to me at the machine to the right and was also dealt 4 Aces. Crazy!!

Maybe I'll see you sometime. What do you look like and what do you play?? You don't have a chihuahua do you. Lol

That man is probably my husband, Davo. If you send me your email address (truckguys@aol.com) I can email you a picture of us. We were at Rincon on Saturday night and we were both playing 3116. I hit quad 4's on DB @ 50 cents denomination. Davo was probably playing $1.00 denomination. I usually switch between the video poker and the penny slots.

No, we don't have a chihuahua. We are pet free now. LOL.

Will you be there on Saturday for the event? I just made my reservation today.

  12. #12
No, I don't think I got an invite to any event. I do like Saturday nights. I always leave with a pretty hefty profit. Ask Davo If he remembers a red head getting quad Aces next to him Saturday night.

My husband and I will be there Thursday night for our 9 year anniversary. I get comp'd rooms Sunday-Thursday. Since we're sun lovers, we'll lay out at the lazy river all day, have a few cocktails. Then have a nice dinner at Fiore and gamble a bit. I'll email you now.

Aaah, I met a friend today.

I will ask him and congratulations on your 9 year anniversary. The food is great at Fiore and Thursdays you will get the multiplier on your rewards credits. That will be a fun 2 days. I hope you have a great time!

I was told (and I can't verify this) that Rincon has the largest percentage of players who are 7 Stars of any of the Caesars casinos. Apparently it's because of all the big players from San Diego, OC and LA who regularly play at Rincon.

What I was told is that the percentage of 7 stars players at Rincon is even higher than the percentage of 7 Stars at Caesars Palace.

Has anyone else heard this? As I said, I can't confirm -- it's just what I was told.

I hadn't heard that but it certainly would not surprise me as several times and a lot lately the suites are filled and we end up with a regular room.

In one of Signow's trip reports over on LVA I remember him saying his host told him there
Are over 1,300 seven stars that their home casino is Rincon (ok Harrahs Southern California)

Also about alcohol, I've been to the last 3 PBR events at Pala, and in the VIP tent it was all the beer, wine and mixed drinks
    You could drink for free.

I was told that they replaced the hotel manager at Rincon because of the customer service problems there (many of which I experienced personally) where Seven Stars members were being abused and didn't want to return.

For quite a long time, the Rincon hotel portion was customer-hostile, and this pissed off the hosts, as their commissions suffered when angry Seven Stars didn't want to return.

If you look at the Yelp reviews of Rincon, you will see a ton of complaints about the hotel staff.

That's very interesting. If you asked me what my "home casino" is I would say Caesars. But because I go to Rincon frequently (only an hour and 45 minute drive) Rincon is now considered to be my "home casino." I discussed this with my host at Caesars and I was told that because Rincon was considered to be my home casino, I could get various benefits including my annual trip with Caesars as my destination. Which reminds me... is there still an annual trip?? Dan??

Hi Dan, Cherokee also claims to have the largest number of Seven Stars payers, which many people find strange since its in the middle of nowhere. But it does get much of the Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, and Columbia business. And it has three large, modern hotels that it keeps pretty full.
