    2) How did he manage to take so many solo trips without you becoming suspicious? Or was he disguising them as business trips?

Your story is a little unusual because when men over 50 have affairs, they tend to do so with younger women. Here he did it with someone his own age.

In any case, you're better off without him. Pretty cold to just get up and leave your wife of 27 years just for some stupid high school crush from the early '80s.
    Dan -

Question #1....very difficult question. I did, within a few days of him saying he wanted to divorce, ask him if there was any chance of us staying together. He said no. But, now that you ask, I don't think I even thought about how I would feel about the cheating. I guess I was too emotional at the time to think clearly about anything. But thinking about it now, no, I don't think I could have stayed with him because of the cheating.

Question #2...every trip that he made was, to my knowledge, a valid trip to attend functions that he had attended in the past years. Functions that I chose not to go to. I just didn't know that he she had joined him at these events.

And yes, you are right about the age thing. I have several acquaintences who are going through the same thing but their stories involve younger women.

I once read an article with an analysis of why the divorce rate in the USA is so high... estimated at 50%. The main reason given is that because we live longer than our parents and grandparents, we literally get bored with our lives.

In 1900 life expectancy was 50 years. There was no time to get bored and to remarry. Who would "remarry" at 40 when they only had 10 years left? And how many times could you divorce and marry within an "age window" of 20 to 50 ??

Today life moves so fast. Major problems develop and are solved in 30 minute or one hour TV dramas. No wonder so many couples have a 7 year itch and split.

By the way, all three of my marriages don't add up to 27 years.

Chimp, Nash is a female too. And frequents Rincon. We should all meet up.

Okay, Alan. You too. I don't want you to feel left out.

That's interesting Alan. Makes total sense.

No, not girls night out with Alan!!! Okay, girls night out without Alan.

But seriously, Chimp. Will you be at Rincon Saturday night for the drawings?

  7. #27
No Newbie, I can't make it on Saturday. Unless, of course, if Alan is going....

Lol. No, seriously, I cannot make it.

Sorry. If I showed up it would only be to talk shop... styles, trends, shopping tips... that sort of stuff. And I do need a "gal spy" to take photos of women bath rooms in casinos for my web page about best casino bathrooms. Any volunteers?

Alan, I've always wanted to be a spy. (Hasn't everyone?)

I will take double-secret spy pics for you.

Newbie? Nash? We could be Charlie's Angels.
Maybe the Gift Wrap Up will have a spy section and sell camera pens.

Yes. Camera pens were featured one year by one of the vendors. But those were the "good old times" when they also had Tiffany and David Yurman and a lot of other quality companies, too. It's really gone downhill.

Chimp...Can I be Kelly? I always liked Jaclyn Smith.

FYI Alan. When it comes to Women's bathroom decor, I'm afraid no Caesars property would make the cover of Architectural Digest.

Nash please see the photo of the men's high limit private restroom (which is open to the public) that includes a phone. Does the women's room have the same? Or does it have TWO phones? LOL

    LOL Alan

I like the touch free concept in that men's room.
Not sure about the TWO phones in the women's room. Do people really use those phones? Do they have them on the walls above the urinals?

Nash, I'm so glad that you thought of the "old" Charlie's Angels. Yes, Jaclyn Smith was always the most beautiful angel.

Although I always liked Kate Jackson too, I will be Tanya Roberts. I think that was her name? I think she was also Sheena?

Alan, the main restroom in Paris is very very pretty.

Probably the worst I've seen is in Ballys (vegas).

We'll get some good pics for you!

Nash the photo I want you to see is the private men's room with the phone next to the throne.

I saw that Alan. I didn't know there was a private restroom in the high limits room at Caesars. The restrooms behind the high limits room are pretty ordinary.

I don't think I have ever seen any telephones in the public restrooms at any casino.
