You are not living in the real world. Rob. Wake up to what's going on. Not everyone is as fortunate as you making a killing on $25 video poker machines and driving around in a big gas guzzling RV.

Don't tell me you made a living off of 25-cent progressives. I don't care how positive they were.

Then let's hope mickey takes THIS information to Ozzy and the rest of the geniuses over there who believe in finder's fees when jackpots are hit that, had someone like Alan not have alerted the gambling community, it otherwise would have passed them by the wayside.

....hahaha!....says the "King of Montana" who started the WoV thread after finding out about the play over here, and who went onto claim "I'm always happy to help my fellow APers in Nevada &California".

Please allow me to shake my head.....

I'm simply unaware that people get jobs for healthcare benefits first.

What I do has little to do with the jackpots I hit at $25 in the recent past. But the point remains, Obamacare is an unmitigated mess for people like us and I know middle-aged working people like Dan. The only people it really helps are those with serious pre-existing conditions who didn't want to go to the hospital and stick them for the bill.

LOL! No offense, Alan, but now you are showing what you don't know. Have you ever played a quarter 9/6 Jacks progressive with a 2% meter? The Skywalk bartops at the Cal Neva/Reno. But the pros didn't play from reset. We let the ploppies drive the meter up to $2300 before we jumped in. The royal has to miss just 52,000 games to put it on that number so we got lots of plays on the bank.

At $2300 it's a 2.6% edge plus 2% meter rise. A 4.6% play. My speed is 1000 HPH. That's a $1250 an hour wager. My time and money in the spot is worth $58 an hour (1250 X 4.6%).

Now I admit that $58 an hour ain't no Donald Trump money. But my rent was only $450 a month and I never had to pay for a meal in Reno. So I was able to scrimp by. LOL!

The Keno Lounge and the Virginian bartops also had 9/6 Jacks with 1.5% meters. We didn't play thin edge, Alan.

Definition of a shill but don't know it. (An AP.)

P.S. There are a few blackjack players who end the year up 20 or 30 thousand at each casino with only basic strategy. Variance.

As for the casinos, I guess that you would have to study the overall damage to the communities - most of which, except for the political "on the takes", didn't want them in the first place - to properly compare that to the benefits.

I do know that casinos are almost never the popular choice, unless you're talking about Indian Reserve casinos. And, that they almost never deliver on the civic promises to communities.

The surrounding communities are drained, or more accurately displaced, by the casino off-shoot businesses of hospitality, food, etc, as opposed to boosted.

Dante why wouldnt I go? I had free play. I used it and hit big -- and left with the cash. I'll be in Vegas this coming weekend for the Great Gift Wrap Up and I won't be asking any of my friends to send me money so I can check into my hotel room.

    You just got schooled son.

Alan you distort the facts daily. You said yourself that you wouldn't be going to rincon anytime soon. I called BS on you and said you'd be back within the week. Well did you go back? And cmon man are you going to rehash the check in fiasco? Unlike like your narcissistic self, I admit that I lost. I came clean and explained in detail what happened. Being broke in Vegas for 2 hours is fodder for you! Ha ha.

Danny- just wondering how's the view of Alan's nutsack? You seem to be under his balls daily with the praise? (No offence)

You're right -- I went back. And not only did I hit the quad aces on the $1 Royal Aces Bonus -- but I also hit quad aces on $5 Aces and Faces and hit quad Kings twice ($1,000 tickets printed) and quad Jacks once ($1,000 ticket printed). See the photo below. If you want to accuse me of distorting facts -- this time I underplayed how much I won on this last trip. I guess you could call that a distortion to the downside. And yes, the aces were dealt to me.

Hey Dante, see the 4 aces above---you just got schooled again son. How is that for daily praise.

I'm not taking sides here but I understand the argument in a fair & balanced way. Alan goes to casinos an awful lot, and has been winning of late. He posts that he won't be going again anytime soon. Dante in a more or less crude sort of way (and kinda like I've done) opines that Alan certainly WILL go back because he's a degenerate gambler (and needs the action--my input for clarification). And Alan goes back. He wins, which I hope we all like, but it turns out Dante was 100% correct.

There should be no disagreement here, except on maybe how dante put it.

But Rob, I go back to casinos to use my free play. Are you using free play when you go back to casinos?

  18. #118
I'm a very unusual customer in that my discipline is unwavering. Yours is not. It's a trip to LV for several days with a pocketload of fresh new cash, you're going to have as good a time as possible, and it's the start of a new year. You will play far beyond free play.

  19. #119
Rob you don't remember my previous posts, do you? I never travel with cash. And why would I want to spend time gambling when going with Gwen? Tsk tsk, Rob.
