    Alan,

This statement leads me to my 2nd question of six that I have for you.

Now to be 100% crystal clear EVERYTHING I am about to state is from your own mouth and cannot be disputed. So please don't try and spin my words. Simply answer the question at hand and that should do it.

You have stated in (now I'm guessing here but the guesstimate is pretty close) at least 100 posts of yours that you only go to Rincon and/or Vegas to use free play. THAT STATEMENT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BELIEVE. First and foremost if it was believed to be true, your offers/free play would have vanished long ago. YOU SIMPLY CANNOT PLAY ONLY freeplay for the last 20, 30, 40 trips you have taken. You ALWAYS claim that you only gamble freeplay as in the above quote. THAT IS A LIE ALAN. Impossible is the only word that could fit that explanation.

Secondly, if you expect us to believe that you drive 600 miles to play exactly $1000 in freeplay then on that 200th spin magically get up and drive home then your smoking some good ganja!!! Cmon Alan. Stop embellishing and start telling the truth. I BELEIVE ALL YOUR WINS. I just don't believe the way you are achieving the wins.

Please clarify this for me if you wish.

    That's funny too.

I had a physics teacher who used to put on a film, then go smoke some pot in a small adjoining room.

Some people think that they can get away with it (because no one is supposed to believe it).

I used to smoke a lot of pot in high school & college when the legal penalties were far more severe. Almost an ounce per week. Now that it's becoming legal everywhere I can't stand smoking it anymore; it gives me acute panic attacks like the one Maureen Dowd experienced. Go figure...

Dante my offers are disappearing. And they are disappearing rapidly.

Until recently I used free play as seed money and would keep playing thru which earned more free play. Once I reached a certain tier point level I stopped playing thru the winnings from the free play.

Keep in mind this was a darn good year with TEN royals. And I made 7 Stars with a net profit because of a $2 royal at Rincon.

Had I not played craps at all this year I would have a net profit.

My free play offers at Caesars dropped from $2500 per visit to as low as $600 and recently increased to $900 or $1000. At Rincon I used to get over $5000 per month but that was a while ago.

To make 7 Stars in 2015 I will have to use my own money but with smart play I expect to make 7 Stars again at a cost of about $4,000 or $2300 or less depending on the luck factor and what games are available. Remember just one royal would give me a profit as in 2014.

Dante I have only ONE question for you: what's your problem?

I don't even understand this line of questioning.

Alan has been open about the fact that he played fairly heavily at the beginning of 2014, but then severely tapered off his play after reaching Seven Stars around March, given the law of diminishing returns for Total Rewards comps at that point.

It seems now he mainly runs freeplay, but will sometimes play craps or some short VP sessions.

I also don't understand why it matters how much Alan does or doesn't play. Why is it anyone's business?

Alan, I am a bit confused as to how you feel you will make Seven Stars for a loss of $2300-$4000 in 2015.

Indeed, the theoretical loss on Aces and Faces (99.26%) is $3700 for reaching Seven Stars, but that is ignoring the big variance involving hitting royals. What if you hit no royals on the way there? Then you will lose far more.

Are you planning upon playing $2/credit? That decreases variance somewhat (making it 2.5x more likely you will hit at least one royal), but it also requires running 5-7 hours of play (depending upon your speed) to make 2500 tier credits (and get the 5000 bonus), which can be tedious. That's why I play $5/credit. More variance, but at least I am not chained to the machine for 5 hours.

Dan my plan is to start 2015 at $2 just as I did in 2014. Yes I am being optimistic and I don't mind long sessions.

Dan: Given how much Alan shares about his casino trips I believe Dante had a right to question Alan for further details, just as Alan has a right to decline further comment, if desired. Technically Alan has a right to shut down Dante completely, but I'm assuming a neutral place of public gathering here.

I can clearly see why Dante is having his inquiries about Alan's session lengths, because Alan has often questioned how many VP hands Rob Singer needed to play to obtain his jackpots (assuming the veracity of the jackpots themselves). In essence, Alan has once questioned Rob and now Dante questions Alan on the exact same issue. The shoe is on the other foot now, so to speak.

There is one thing clear in all this, because it is based on simple common sense. And because Alan has posted so much so continuously over so long about his playing vp, it is really an all-factual conclusion to any gambler.

Whatever the stated reason for the trips to Vegas or Rincon, the main driver is always to gamble. And for a person who plays 7 figures in vp action, free play only is not going to do it, esp. on trips that require hours of driving. I think it's more like a mindset going in to just play the free play, but if winning comes then the mindset is subject to altering-by-justification. Hands get awful sweaty inside casinos. Not taking sides--just adding it all up.

I also read something disturbing. Alan, you said you had a net vp profit this year with the ten royals, yet you didn't profit overall because of craps losses? Is that right??

I am pretty sure that if I didn't play craps in 2014 that I would be showing a profit. Even though the video poker games I play are negative expectation I managed to limit my losses and I willingly walked out of the casino with small profits.

The advantage of playing at a local casino like Rincon is that when you determine it's time to leave either because you've won some money or reached your loss limit, you can just get in your car and drive home.

But when you go to Vegas for a weekend and you reach a win goal or reach a loss limit, and you still have 36 hours before departure, what can happen? You gamble more than you should.

It's true that my last several trips to Caesars were very good for my bottom line -- but there were plenty of trips earlier in the year when I played primarily craps which were losing trips and I will not deny it.

By the way, I was at Paris on Sunday for the Great Gift Wrap Up. It took me less than 20 minutes to get the "cards" for the two bikes I wanted to buy, plus the two flatware sets, plus the gas cards -- and I was out of there. I did decide to play a little at Caesars. While I had three W2Gs the wins were small (2 X $1250 and 1 quad aces for $2,000) and my NET win on the trip was exactly $470. I did not want to continue playing because $470 more than covered my gas and mileage for driving up and back to Vegas in one day without staying in the hotel.

New alert: as of Saturday December 6 at 2pm the Rincon $5 DDB progressive is above $56,000.

I have played side by side with Alan and I have seen both winning sessions as well as losing sessions. When he comes home and reports about it on this forum it's a factual account of what happened.
    Give Alan a break people.

I was told this morning that the $56k+ progressive was hit late last night. I don't know how much it was.
