Thread: Slotmachine action

There are a couple of casino games that are discussed on this forum frequently: video poker and craps. We don't play either of these games. Why? We just don't really like VP and since we're always travelling as a couple we just stick to games we both like.

The game I love the most is live poker, my wife is a real slot junkie. Our gambling is 100% recreational because we hardly ever gamble outside of Vegas. There is a story I would like to share with you though. We played a slotmachine called Stampede at New York New York back in 2011 (and have played the same machines many times after that). It's a machine with a progressive jackpot. Max credit is $0.90 a spin. The maximum progressive jackpot is usually between $450 and $650. We had a great run at this machine and would to share the entire story. You can read it here

We also have a video of our win:

Please share your best slotmachine winners......

Nice hit Vegas__Lover. My husband and I enjoy the penny slot machines too. About a month ago I got a hand pay of $3150.00 on the Timberwolf machine at Rincon. It was on a $4.00 max bet. The picture attached here isn't very good.

Ive walked by these penny slots and "video screen slots" and for the life of me I can't figure out what I am supposed to be looking at. I don't really see players looking at the screen either -- except when they win and then it seems that they are also looking at the screens trying to figure out what the symbols mean.

Alan, I hit that in a bonus round with 12 free spins. I'm not sure what the 3 owls pay but whatever it was paid 15 x that amount.

    Great win Nash.

An important thing to realize about slots is that at Mlife resorts your point accumulation depends on the type of slot you play. The so called "specialty slots" ask a lot more play to accumulate the same points as at "regular slots". Specialty slots are "themed" slots. Games like The Hangover, Walking Dead, Willie Wonka, The Godfather, Sex in the City, American Idols and others are specialty slots. At Mlife you get 1 tier credit for every $3 coin in. On specialty slots, it's $10 coin in per tier credit. So don't be surprised when your point accumulation is lower than expected. You probably played specialty slots. The Stampede machine is not a specialty machine, nor are the classic 3 reel machines, REELmoney, Kitty Glitter, Quick Hits, etc.

Another interesting afternoon we had at the Wheel of Fortune machines was during the last day of our March 2013 trip. We had been walking up and down the Strip, did some shopping and needed some time to sit down and rest. So when we came back at NYNY (where we were staying at that time) we decided to play the Wheel of Fortune machines. You can find these machines almost everywhere in Vegas and the denomations are quarters or dollars. We played the quarter machines at $1.25 a spin. We played for about 3 hours never really losing any machine on this machines. We had a lot of bonus spins with great wins. I have the complete story here

And a couple of pics as a teaser....
