Thread: 7 Stars Experience -- next best option

  1. #1
Since the $500 gift cards are no longer available and the $500 folio credit is limited to one city per year, I have been considering my options for my final two 7 Stars Experience credits for 2014.

I don't like the gasoline option.

Since I prefer Vegas I think I will choose the $400 dining credit with two show tickets.

The balloon ride isn't my cup of tea either.

If I recall you can combine an experience with another offer such as a free play or shopping event. That would be ideal.

You will have a very nice meal. Our only option is Atlantic City and in this case that is not very exciting.

The dining option csn be used at multiple restaurants so in effect it is a $400 folio credit. This Experience is closr to a $500 gift card plus using reward credits for show tickets.

Question for Dan or Alan, I would think a lot of seven stars players with nearby home casinos who work just can't go to Vegas more than once or twice a year. I split my play between Cincinnati and Louisville. When I log in to totalrewards.com I have 47 pages of offers from Las Vegas casinos. My last trip to Vegas was my seven stars annual retreat trip last January. I have two trips coming up in just a few weeks, my Diamond trip and annual retreat. My current Vegas offers show promotions such as slot or video poker tournaments or free play but all are tied with hotel stays. Can any of the Vegas promotions I find on the totalrewards.com site be combined with the annual retreat or Diamond trips?

Also, I have about 7 experience credits I am struggling to find any use for. Any suggestions on how I may be able to use along with my annual retreat and diamond trips coming up? Thanks!

Supermaxhd it's a shame you didn't cash in your experience credits earlier when the $500 gift cards were offered.

To answer your question, some offers can be combined with an experience credit but you'd have to ask as conditions could change.

Good luck. Vegas is notorious for not allowing "double dipping."

They are constantly changing the rules about this, but even so, there is a workaround you might be able to use.

First off, ask your host if they will allow you to combine the Seven Stars retreat with a regular offer. If they say yes, then have them book that for you.

If they say no, you can still do it if you're willing to give up the $500 food credit.

The flight is completely separate, so you can go through the motions for the flight (I can link you to my instructions how to do that most efficiently), and then just not book any hotel. Then just book the hotel separately under a different offer. In fact, some really sneaky Seven Stars have booked unrelated flights as their "Seven Stars trip" and then just never went through with the hotel booking! I wouldn't try that (as there might be consequences for it), but simply booking on a different offer should be fine, since you're still going to the hotel as promised. This trick will definitely work for the Diamond Aspirations trip, as that has no food credit.

There is one other workaround you might try (for the Seven Stars trip). The rule is that you need 2 full days OFF PROPERTY to qualify for a new offer. So if you have other hotels where you can stay in Vegas, you can do something like this (dates listed below are arbitrary):

Jan 31: Stay at Caesars, use part of $500 food credit
Feb 1: Stay at Caesars, use rest of $500 food credit
Feb 2: Check out, go to another non-CET hotel
Feb 3: Stay at other hotel
Feb 4: Check in to Caesars again on offer, don't even bother enterting room, use freeplay, fly home
Feb 6: Check out over the phone

So this could still be a 4-day trip using the above, and you can double dip anyway.

I contacted Total Rewards / Seven Stars via email today because I had earned 1 more signature experience before the end of last year and it wasn't showing up on the CET website.
A TR manager responded very quickly and apologized for the delay in posting my final experience credit to my account. She also stated that all experiences have to be redeemed by
3/31/15 with travel completed by 5/31/15. I think last year it was by the end of June. Looks like they moved it up a month.

    Also to note...

My Host from Rincon called me yesterday and told me that Rincon has been added to the list of destinations that you can redeem the $500 folio credit.
