Have the rules changed for the Bonus tier points up to 25,000??

I received a new email today and the language appears to be different. Missing seems to be any wording that indicates regular bonus tier points are counted towards and deducted from the 25,000 special bonus for play during the first three months. Perhaps I am misreading it? Here is the "fine print" from the email I received today:

    1. This Winter Tier Credit Blast Offer (“Offer”) is open to all Total Rewards members (who are members in good standing during the entire duration of the Offer Period.). Subject to Total Rewards Rules at www.TotalRewards.com.

    2. Total Rewards members do NOT need to opt in to the Offer.

    3. Participants must earn at least 1,000 Tier Credits during the Offer Period – January 1, 2015 – March 31,2015 (“Offer Period”) to be eligible.

    4. Participants must have tracked Tier Credits using ratings from their Total Rewards card to be eligible.

    5. All Total Rewards members who earn at least 1,000 Tier Credits during the Offer Period will receive 50% bonus on their Tier Credits earned up to 25,000 bonus Tier Credits.

    6. 50% bonus will be determined based on the members’ 2015 Tier Score at the end of the promotional day on March 31, 2015

    7. Daily Tier Credit Bonuses will be included in the total Tier Score since they are added to the members’ Tier Score daily and therefore are considered a part of the total Tier Score.

    8. The bonuses awarded from this Offer will be added one time only for all qualified Total Rewards members on or about April 15, 2015.

    9. Maximum Offer bonus is 25,000 Tier Credits.

    10. Reward Credits will not be bonused only Tier Credits.

    11. Tier Credit Bonuses do not count toward Reward Credit balance, promotional Tier Credit earnings or qualifying for another Daily Tier Credit Bonus.

    12. This Offer is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including gaming, and all aspects of the Offer are subject to the approval of appropriate regulatory authorities.

    13. Caesars Enterprise Services, LLC and/or any affiliated entity reserves the right to modify or cancel this Offer at any time, for any reason, subject to any applicable regulatory approval.

Yes, it appears now that you CAN earn bonuses on bonuses, and there are really no more restrictions involving earning other bonuses during that same time period.

Thanks Dan. I just wasn't sure if I was reading it correctly. This means I can look forward to the full 25,000 tier point bonus which, by the way, is equal to 1/6 of the points needed for 7 Stars.

Yes, but believe it or not, I'm probably not going to use this 25,000 towards my Seven Stars.

I don't like how they give you the points on April 15, as that will cause a lapse in my status for 15 days (or more if they take awhile to re-approve my Seven Stars).

I think I'm just going to complete the whole 150k before March 31 and ignore this promotion.

I'm just curious, Dan, is there a big problem if you have a 15-day lapse in being 7 Stars? Is something happening in the first two weeks of April that causes a hardship?

Alternatively, can you call Total Rewards to deal with this?

On the other hand... 25,000 extra tier points is not that big of a difference for a 7 Stars player.

Just a couple of days (actually around April 15)... and the BONUS tier points are supposed to show up. Has anyone received any indication of the true amount of Bonus that they will receive? I am expecting the full 25,000 and will be very disappointed if I don't get all 25,000. If I don't get all 25,000 my first question will be "which rule did I read incorrectly?"

April 1st and my "bonus tier points" aren't posted yet. I know this might be early but please let us know as soon as you see that your points have been added. And let us know if you received the appropriate number of points.

The bonus tier credits will be posted on April 15.

*Member must earn at least 1,000 Tier Credits by March 31, 2015 to be eligible for the promotion. 50% Tier Credit Bonus will be awarded on up to the first 50,000 Tier Credits earned from January 1, 2015 through March 31, 2015, for a maximum total bonus of 25,000 Tier Credits. Daily Tier Credit Bonuses will count toward the 50,000 Tier Credits maximum. Loyalty bonuses are not earned Tier Credits and thus, are not eligible for this promotion. Tier Credit Bonuses, including this promotion, do not count toward Reward Credit balance, promotional Tier Credit earnings, or qualifying for another daily bonus. Total Tier Credit Bonus amount awarded through this promotion will be calculated after March 31st, 2015 and will be posted to the Total Rewards account on April 15, 2015.

I wonder if anyone receive that bonus-nothing was added to my account as of today....

  10. #10
Nothing on my account today, either, but today is the 13th and the bonus points are supposed to be added on the 15th. Too early to worry about a screw-up.

I got the bonus in my account this morning.. full amount I was expecting.. : )

    Mine came in too.

No worries. Our 25,000 tc's have been added as well.

Got 25,000 which put me over 150,000 for 7 Stars another year. And that turns me into a 25-cent VP player for the rest of 2015.

    Hi Alan:

Looks like it may be time for you to dip your toes in the MLIFE water in 2015.

FAB it's a good idea, but moving over to MLife would mean having to start from the bottom building up "points" and frankly I don't want to spend that much time or money in casinos for the rest of 2015.

I will take advantage of certain offers and events, including free play (what's left of it), but I don't want to put myself on any type of "schedule" to reach certain "award levels" with another casino company.

Since there isn't much reason to score more than 150.000 tier points, I just might sneak in someone else's card when playing at certain casinos so they might also make 7 Stars.

Our emails from CET on the bonus tier mentioned another bonus in your email next week. Does anyone know what that is? I deleted our emails so I can't see what it is.

    Hi Nash:

Today I received an email to get 10,000 in Bonus Tier Credits by using CET's affiliated Visa Credit Card. When I clicked onto the email I was sent to the following URL:

    https://www.totalrewards.com/content.../tr-visa.html?

As you can see it touts the following "benefits" if one spends $10,000 in a year on the VISA:

When you spend $10,000 in a calendar year, you’ll receive unlimited VIP access in Las Vegas for the following calendar year, which includes:
    • VIP Diamond Line Access at participating restaurants
    • VIP Diamond Line check-in
    • VIP Diamond Line for taxis and entertainment venues
    • Preferred entry into participating Las Vegas nightclubs
    • Pool access at all Las Vegas properties

I am not interested myself. But to looks like a tool to get the Diamond lines to get even more crowded.

That's no incentive. I already get that and more with my 7 stars card.
