Something new on your account at Rincon

The last time I was at Rincon I noticed something new on my account when I put my card in the machine. I should have taken a picture of it but in the lower left corner there is something new called "Use Offer." When you tap it something comes up on the screen saying there are no offers available at this time. I am guessing this is in the process of being set up and I am guessing once it is you will have to enter your pin number to redeem your free play. Does anyone else know anything about this?

You're exactly right. It's been there for almost a month. So far, no offers show up.

Keep in mind that Rincon is the "test casino" for Caesars. Rincon was the first to get the screen device for ordering drinks, and for redeeming comps and free play at machines.

I may be able to shed some light on this. At Ak-Chin to use your freeplay you must hit the "use offer" button. The mailer will say something like "Come in during March and get $40 in free play! Use offer code 534!" You hit the use offer button and then hit 5-3-4 and it will put the $40 in your bank. Basically you need to know the code or get them from the TR desk in order to get your freeplay.

bigfoot that makes sense. But I need to ask: why would Rincon change the system? What they have now is pretty much the same except that no "code" needs to be entered -- and you just have to insert the card. What purpose is "the code"?

I was told that the button will be activated on March 14.

I wonder if the button is going to be for offers that are mailed OR if it's for NEW OFFERS that you might earn when you play or special offers?

When the message screens were first added to the machines, messages would pop up that said "you earned a bonus -- free night in our hotel tonight" (or something like that). These messages would pop up after a certain amount of play.

The codes are required almost exclusively just for the weekly mailer money. The postcards you get that say something like "Come in on Wednesdays in March and get $10 freeplay or 1000 RC's!" do not require a code, they typically just pop up as you are playing. I can only think that the point of the code is to put a barrier between the player and the cash so that fewer players redeem the offers. Why give free cash to someone who doesn't care enough to enter the code?

Bigfoot is right. They have been using this system at New Orleans and Tunica for quite a long time.

I just checked my monthly mailer booklet for March and there is no offer code mentioned on the weekly free play.
Something tells me it probably won't be activated until April otherwise Total Rewards will be hammered with
people trying to get their offer codes to activate their weekly free play.

Alan, Nash - we used to have to enter codes to get our offers. Do you remember? It was a pain in the butt. You had to remember to bring your code with you. And then punch it in. And start all over if you made a mistake. Then they made it like it is now, where you just have to insert your card. So much easier. It seems like they are going backwards.

we have had that for awhile here on the east coast.. in AC you need a code to redeem your play.. in Philadelphia you just need to put in your PIN and then select the amount(s) available..

I only have a few mailers for March as my offers have been screwed up. But none have codes.

Yes you beat me. They used to send us codes and we would go to TR to get them when we forgot our mailers. I hope they are not going backwards. This is why I think (hope) it's for new bonus offers as you play.

I doubt they want a line at the TR desk of players wanting their codes.
