Thread: Double checking my seven star benefits

  1. #1
Hi guys! As the seven star benefit year winds down, I wanted to double check that I didn't misunderstand about the availability of one of the benefits. I earned 123,000 tier credits in 2014 (jan-dec) so am I entitled to the second "diamond aspiration" trip that you used to get with the 750 in airfare? If yes, is it too late to book that now? I know last year they let you book it out through June but I didn't know if that was a one-time thing. Or is that the trip I'll be entitled to on 4/1? I get so confused with the dates.

Also, I'm guessing I'm too far off from this, but has CET ever been known to bump someone up to Seven Stars if they miss the thresh hold by some small amount after a repeatedly exceeding the required tier score by a great amount? I know some loyalty programs for airlines used to do this, but I think they've all gotten pretty strict, so I would expect the casinos to be as well. Just trying to get everything I can before my shiny card becomes a bookmark.

Yes, I have heard about players who missed the 7 Stars threshold by a small number of points due to illness who were given 7 Stars status again for the following year.

You will have until March 31 to COMPLETE your trip, so you had better get moving. Yes, you can still book it right now. Ignore the supposed 30 day in advance thing, as that's never enforced.

If you earned 123,000 tiers in 2014, you will have Diamond until March 31, 2016.

It is unlikely they will bump you up to Seven Stars because you missed it by a fair amount (it's not like you finished with 149,500), but when you ask, make up some story about health problems, provided that there was a protracted period where you didn't play (especially at the end of the year, if such a period exists).

The made Diamond Aspirations II at 80,000 to make up for the fact that there's a huge difference between 15,000 tiers and 149,999 tiers (all of which are Diamond), so I don't think they will normally be eager to help someone who has 123k. But it's worth a shot.

Sorry to ask again, but I'm feeling slightly thick at the moment. Since this is the trip that I earned when I hit 80k in July/September 2014, I'll lose that on April 1 if I don't use it? Or will I still have time to use that through the rest of 2015? I used the trip for my seven star benefit (the retreat with 1200 in airfare) in December 2014, so I know I got that much out of it. Like I said, I get REALLY confused when it comes to the calendars and dates with TR. Thanks for answering so quick Dan and Alan!

Yes, it disappears on April 1. So yes, if you earned it late in the year, you don't have much time for it.

You also should make sure to use all of your other 2014 benefits before March 31, such as the $500 annual dinner and the annual gift.

I actually haven't ordered my annual gift (because I can't decide, as nothing looks too appealing to me), but I need to remember to do so before the 31st.

Regarding the rest of 2015, starting April 1, you get a whole new set of benefits, though for you it will only be Diamond benefits, as you didn't earn Seven Stars in 2014 (but you had all of the benefits because you earned it in 2013).

If you hit 150k tiers any time in 2015, you WILL get your 2015 set of Seven Stars benefits, including a second set of benefits starting 4/1/16, even if you don't play again after 2015.

While we're on the subject, I have TWO experience credits not yet redeemed from 2014 play. I guess I have until March 31 to redeem? And unfortunately, I might be stuck with the controversial gas discount because there doesn't seem to be anything I can use for one or two experience credits.

I was thinking about the show/$400 food credit for two experience credits and I think I can book before March 31 and use later??

Supposedly the deadline to USE everything is March 31.

I think there are a few exceptions, but they are stated on the specific Seven Stars Experiences in their description.

So yeah, it might be the fail gas thing for you.

I just went through this. I had one credit that I just earned the last week of 2014. It has to be used by March 31st. Fortunately I was already planning a Vegas trip that I could tack it on to.

Can you use later or do all the experiences have to be completed by March 31?

I too have one experience left to redeem. Rincon was added to the list for a $500.00 folio. I wonder if I book that before March 31 can I use it after that date? Anyone know?
I think I will check with my host there.

Okay, just found out from my host at Rincon that the $500 folio at Rincon must be used by March 31st as well.
    That answers my question.

Nash, do you know what the $500 folio at Rincon can be used for? Probably food, drink, spa. But I was wondering if store items are also included?

    Chimp,

I'm not really sure. My host at Rincon called it a $500 dining credit.
I do know when we used the $500 folio in Las Vegas over New Years we had about $168.00 left on the folio to use so my host told me I could use it in the CET gift shops.
We were staying at Harrah's so I was kind of limited. I ended up in the little food / wine / liquor shop by the VIP check in and took home some bottles of wine, a bottle
of vodka and some snacks for the road trip home. I would probably check with your host at Rincon first.

Since you can't get free alcohol at Rincon I wonder if you can use the folio for alcohol. Does anyone know?
We used the 7 star $500 celebration dinner from 2014 last weekend at Fiore but no one ordered alcohol. We brought 2 bottles of our own wine.
Fiore charges a $20.00 corkage fee per bottle which they did apply to the $500.

According to sevenstarsinsider, the folio Signature Experience must be booked by 3/31/15, used by 5/31/15.

Which is great news for those playing the WSOP, since the Colossus $5M guaranteed is held the last week of May.

    nerakil,

Where did you see that on the Seven Star Insider? I am looking but don't see it. My experience on my Seven Star account online
says All Seven Stars Experiences must be booked no later than 3/31/15 but I do not see anything in there about "used by 5/31/15.
When I checked with my host at Rincon this morning she said booked and completed by 3/31/2015. I know Rincon was added as a
folio but that doesn't appear on the Seven Star Experience either.

I am pretty sure that folio credits include gift shop purchases. Just charge the gift shop purchase to the room. That's the way it's always been. But it doesn't hurt to ask to confirm because rules can change.

I guess I am stuck with the gas program for my remaining two Experience Credits. But fortunately my girlfriend's car also uses premium so we will be driving up to the same pump to max out the purchase each time since my car has a 14 gallon tank.

I just found this on the Insider.

The Total Rewards Gift Card is no longer an option for "spending" one Signature Credit. It has been replaced with a $500 Atlantic City or Nevada property folio credit. The credit is not nearly as valuable or flexible as the gift card since you have to be staying at a Caesars Nevada (Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Laughlin or Reno) or Atlantic City property to use it. There were many more options for using the gift card. (Click here for participating merchants and outlets.) Also, note that there is a limit of one redemption per city per Seven Stars cardholder.

Those folio credits – like every Signature Experience – must be booked by March 31. And, by “booked” you need to decide where and when you are going to use the credit, i.e., ask your host to actually book a reservation to which you will attach this folio credit. You also can book this yourself by calling (855) 977-7827, emailing

    sevenstarsexp@caesars.com

    or completing the form at:

    http://www.totalrewards.com/sevenstars/
    signature-experiences-booking-form

Technically, you need to do this no later than 30 days in advance, which would be March 1. You have until May 31 to complete this trip. However, once you book the reservation, there are no cancellations or changes allowed. The credit is good only for food and beverages and/or spa treatments. (Some casinos are a little more generous in what they will allow to be considered, so ask when you check-in to confirm eligible charges.)

Right Nash, it's the last paragraph. If you are also subscribed to the Yahoo group HarrahsCasinos, Darryl mentions the 5/31/15 usage date for the Nevada/AC $500 folio.

If you bug your host enough, you MAY be able to convert your annual trip airfare and experience credits into free play.

I am doing that for my annual trip in lieu of the airfare. I'm not sure they would do that for an experience credit.

So my question to you Alan is: which LV casinos have the best gift shop items?

I just got off the phone with the Experience people and they said I need to book my reservation by March 31 and the trip needs to be completed before May 31.

I was also told I could use multiple rewards on the same trip. ie 4 show tickets and 800 fb credit for 4 Exp Credits on the same trip.
