Thread: Anyone received info on the 2015 Seven Stars program yet?

Sorry to hear about the censorship at the other forums.

By the way, Rob Singer emailed me and he's doing fine.

I don't even know what they're trying to censor.

I was deleted before posting anything at SlotFanatics, and they deleted a helpful, non-controversial post over at Vegasmessageboard.

    Weak.

Let me take a stab at what's going on: they don't want to give the competition any credibility or any exposure to its members.

In the news media business there is a similar philosophy: you try not to mention competing radio or TV stations or newspapers when they break news first. And, you try to keep the competitions' microphone flags out of your video. Newspaper photos are frequently taken without showing that there are radio and TV reporters at the same press conference. A cameraman for one TV station will avoid showing logos or reporters of another TV station. It's all done in an attempt to show that "we were the only one to have this information."

Dan you have your own website and forum plus audio feeds. You post here, you also post on Wizard of Vegas and that makes you a threat to other website forum owners.

I miss Rob's posts. He brings a "spark" to this forum....and I was wondering where did he go....

So far there is not much out there other than the info Synergistic posted in #5 of this thread. I am on both slot fanatics and on VMB and none of the questions or responses from the CET host so far offer anything new on what to expect for next year. As far as the annual 7 star cruise goes from what I am hearing they will continue. The only cruises going away are the 7 star event cruises. I guess we will all know for sure in about a week.

Rob is enjoying being Rob... in more ways than one. He was banned for abusive comments. We're still friends. He still owes me lunch for the stock market bet. :-)

This page is also updated, though it repeats what we already saw from Aaron's e-mail in the other thread:

Dan did you notice when you went to sevenstarinsider.com and read the new rules and regulations regarding complimentary rooms that they only mentioned paying for the complimentary room and the tax. There was no mention of paying for the free movies and the wifi.

Can you elaborate on this please?

Did you catch the line that says the Celebration Dinner is used on the Retreat? Does this mean not on a non-retreat trip?

Noticed no mention is made of movies or wifi in the 2015-16 seven star benefits rules and regulations. However in looking back at the last two years of seven star rules and regulations noticed that in both cases in the fine print free movies were mentioned. I am hoping that this is just an oversight.

I believe they used the term "may" so I believe it's just a matter of them specifically allowing voucher use on the retreat, not requiring it.

Unfortunately, not only is there no mention of movies/Wi-Fi, the resort fees section clearly states that while the fee won't be charged automatically, 7* members will be able to purchase similar packages if they wanted those services...

I've not read through the insider version yet, just the latest terms and conditions - at first glance, I actually think they're well written and pretty clear.

Four nights between 7* bookings at different properties stinks, though, hopefully that'll be ignored with even reasonable play.

My understanding is that there isn't an appreciation gift available as an online choice. The Samsung Galaxy tablet IS the appreciation gift and it is only available at your home casino on the renewal event dates.

    Rules & Regulations: http://www.totalrewards.com/sevenstars/rules

They are claiming again that you need 4 nights in between comp stays, but last year they didn't enforce that. They only enforced two nights.

The annual cruise is back. It's referred to as "Voyage".

Late checkout is now 1pm, instead of 4pm. Not sure if that will be enforced.

They are claiming that there might be blackout dates for comp rooms, as well as more than 48 hours notice required for booking for busy dates. I think they said the same crap last year, and it wasn't enforced.

Oh, and I'm not too worried about the 7 Stars free media/internet.

Yes, there is the language that Seven Stars will be allowed to purchase the services normally covered by the Resort Fee, but I think that is referring to services at properties such as gym access.

Experience Credits look like they're coming back, after all. Except now it's every 250k tiers, not 50k.

I am but a lowly Platinum and I recently redeemed an offer for a free nights in Vegas plus a free cruise voucher. When I booked the cruise on NCL (7 Nights) they said you had to pay taxes, gratuities, and "Non-commissionable Fare" of $180. The total is $380 per person which is still a pretty good deal but the non-commissionable fare bothered me. Its not really a free cruise is it? Much like being forced to pay a resort fee for "free" nights at the hotel.
In the past something like this would have really bothered me and I would have made a big stink on the reservation line and possibly not gone entirely. As I get older I am trying to just accept these things so I am going to go and enjoy myself.
