Thread: Anyone received info on the 2015 Seven Stars program yet?

  1. #1
    It's March 22, and nothing.

This is the latest it's ever been.

The only info we have right now is about the signature events, and I got the insider info about the experience credits going away.

    But that's it.

    Caesars, are you there? Hello?

    Bueller?

I thought that last year we were waiting till April 1st?

Dan did your plan work and do you get the points for renewal?

    What do you mean?

I haven't reached 150k tiers yet. I will soon, though.

To follow up: I thought that last year the actual program details weren't available till April 1st or even April 2nd -- with no advance info at all.

And yes, Dan, I was asking you if your plan worked for getting 150k tier points just by playing this year prior to April 1 to renew your 7 Stars without interruption.

I think I have put in a lot of play so far this year, but as of today I only have about 90,000 tier points. I can't imagine how much play I'd have to do (and at what cost) to make 150K tier points by March 31st. And to be honest, I need a lot of 25-cent royals or one $5 royal to bring myself back to break-even. So far this year, video poker and craps have not been good to me and I'm not going to be able to play much $5 video poker in the coming weeks.

There is a helpful CET host on some other forums who just posted a quick overview of the upcoming changes. All in all it seems relatively minor, the only key benefit that may be MIA is the annual cruise. Everything else actually seems like minor improvements.

    Copypasted without permission:

2015 Total Rewards Changes and Additions (yes, there are some good ones!)
Hey everyone, been a while since I did a major update post. I'll lay out some of the changes for TR this year and open the thread for questions. Just about everything stays the same, with some additions. BIG ONES ON THE BOTTOM.

    GOLD
-Reduced pricing at restaurants stays the same, however they are doing away with the 10% discount for retail, spa, and golf.
    -Everything else stays the same.

    PLATINUM
-All benefits stay this same, including retail discounts and ability to turn RC's into free play.

    DIAMOND
-The following stay the same: $100 celebration dinner, RC's into free play, Diamond lounge access, Priority lines, 20% discount at retail shops, VIP reservations line.
    -NEW benefits:
*15% off best available public rate on rooms and suites for additional rooms
    *15% off CET golf courses
*Guaranteed room with 72 hour notice
*Guaranteed table/cabana access with 72 hour notice

DIAMOND LEVEL 1 (40k+ tier points)
-Complimentary 4 night stay and $100 folio credit remains the same
    NEW benefits:
*4 high roller tickets instead of 2 as part of monthly benefit
*5000 tier points will automatically be deposited beginning of 2016, so you get a head start

DIAMOND LEVEL 2 (80k+ tier points)
-Everything remains the same except for following additions:
    NEW benefits:
*5k tier points automatically applied beginning 2016
*Four happy hour high roller tix (cabin with bar during evening hours)

    SEVEN STARS (150k+ tier points)
-Everything remains the same with exception of following additions:
    NEW benefits:
*Instead of one $500 celebration dinner, you can now break it down into 5 $100 increments
*Instead of just the signature event in Las Vegas, there are now signature events in AC, NOR, LV, and Tahoe. There will no longer be signature cruises.
*Appreciation gifts are still available online, however they added a new Samsung Galaxy tablet redeemable on property.

MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS (IF YOU READ ANYTHING, READ BELOW)

-If you make Seven Stars in 2015, you start 2016 automatically at a Diamond TC level since you earn 5k tier credits in 2016 for reaching each the Dia Asp1, Asp 2, and Seven Star levels, for a total of 15k TC points deposited 1/1/16. This will make it MUCH easier for you to make the aspiration and Seven Star levels from the get-go.

-DIAMOND ASPIRATION AND SEVEN STAR TRIPS AND ANNUAL GETAWAYS AS WELL AS EXPERIENCE POINTS EARNED IN 2015 CAN NOW BE REDEEMED UP UNTIL 6/30/2016 instead of 3/31 like in previous years.

Like I said, with the exception of the above two points, not much has changed other than a few small things.

No mention of the signature experiences?

Just that last throwaway line about having until June to use any credits earned this year - wasn't explicit enough to tell exactly how that would work. He's taking questions at SlotFanatics and VMB, I'm keeping an eye out for useful responses.

I already have somewhat of an answer about Signature Experiences in 2015: http://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/showth...ven-Stars-2015

This came directly from a host who read me the material he was given.

synergistic, why do you think the annual cruise will be gone for Seven Stars? I didn't see anything indicating that in the information you re-posted here. He said the signature event cruises were gone, but we already knew that.

I really hope that benefit doesn't disappear, because I already planned my 2015 around using it, including making plans with 2 other people. Would suck if I had to pay.

I can call NCL's Casinos at Sea tomorrow and ask if they will be having that benefit again on April 1. They will likely know.

The ability to redeem trips until 6/30 is a nice change. The problem with the "old" system is that you were locked into going to a warm weather place (unless you want to stay indoors the whole time) if you didn't use it by November. This made it a rush to plan a spring trip (when it's nice everywhere) because you can't book until April 1. Glad they relaxed that.

The $100-5-times instead of $500 meal benefit is also very welcomed. It felt like I had to take at least 3 other people with me to make it worthwhile.

Sorry, that bit was from a question someone had asked - and rereading it now, not only is he not sure of his answer but I'm not convinced he knew what he was answering. Copied here:

From what I read it is no longer an automatic benefit since they opened up other markets for seven star experience events, however I'll double check. It is still usually an offer they put out that if you come in on specified dates we give you 2 free cruise vouchers.

    Agree that he seemed confused.

I think he believed he was answering about the Signature Experiences, and not the annual cruise.

I also think he probably isn't too familiar with the annual cruise, because hosts don't get involved with booking that.

I have a feeling the annual cruise is still there.

That's a fairly big thing to remove, and you'd think they would have warned him about it.

I think the annual cruise is being dropped as an option, but I may be wrong.

    Where did you hear this?

Are you sure you didn't get this info from someone who confused it with the signature event cruises? Those have been dropped for sure.

I called Casinos At Sea. They told me that, in a meeting last week, they were told that the annual cruise for Seven Stars is "still happening" in 2015, but that they still don't have full details yet. I was warned that it could be dropped before April 1, but that "last we heard" it's still going on. Really odd for NCL itself not to know whether it's happening for sure, but maybe I spoke to someone without full knowledge of the situation.

I registered for SlotFanatics and they didn't approve my account! The administrator deleted me!

    WTF

Who runs that thing? I wonder if it's someone who doesn't like me.

I see that this woman co-owns it: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/deborah...cci/41/715/4b6

... but I have no idea who she is or why she would have a problem with me.

    Strange.

I don't think its the hardest thing to get into. Must has been a glitch. We got our news from a CET host who answers questions about their program.

But was he sure about the annual cruise, or was he perhaps just confused and believed it was the signature cruise people were asking about?

    Dear Dan Druff,

Unfortunately your registration at Slot Fanatics did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted.

    Sorry,
    Slot Fanatics
    LOL

Someone told me privately that Slot Fanatics doesn't like having admins from other forums over there.

    Really weird.

    Oh well... F 'em.

I also tried to post on Vegasmessageboard, and it was held for "moderator approval". And it looks like they deleted my message, even though it had no objectionable content.

    I don't get it.
