Thread: RCs to Gift Card vs. Free Play

  1. #1
Here is a question to the group.

    What is better?

Converting 62,500 RCs for $500 in Free Play

    Or

60,000 RCs for $300 worth of Gift Cards (Shell, Macys or last time I was able to get Visa GCs)

My last 2 trips to Rincon I have bought the gift cards in the gift shop at 2:1 for RCs.

I like the Gift Cards because I know I will be leaving the casino with them.

Dan, it seems like it would be a good idea to start converting some of the banked RCs into Visa Gift Cards.

There is a limit of $500 per day.

It makes sense to use RCs for free play first if it keeps you from using cash to play. It also makes sense to convert RCs into gift cards if you don't need them for play and have extra RCs for future visits.

Banking too many RCs is never a good idea because there is no guarantee for their future value.

I always use RCs for free play before I take money out of my pocket.

Free play is a better option. I'd much rather have the free play return, then have the option of spending the resulting 90-97% cash on the best deal I can get for what I need as compared to the gift cards with the standard 40-something percent retail markup.
