Thread: More Dancing and Singing

  1. #1
In today's LVA column, Bob "Dancer" publicly verified some things that Rob "Singer" has stated in these forums, namely that Dancer's ex-wife took 50% of his net worth and that the split was acrimonious.

Dancer, however, has failed to mention the couple million dollar boost to his bankroll that occurred, according to Singer, when Dancer's father died. That boost appears to be correlated with Dancer's increasing adventures into negative EV games with various drawings and promos providing rationales for playing. Dancer and his father did not see eye to eye early in Dancer's career, even though his father's wealth provided a safety net backdrop for Dancer's occasional forays into variance beyond his means.

She only got 50% of his net worth? Lucky guy. I somehow manage to lose 100% of my net worth.

That's because you're a polygamist (sorry, I've been watching Sister Wives).

And if you've been reading vpFree today you'd be treated to how Dancer tries to calm the fears of his minions by announcing what a financial brute he really is. Phew.......

He claims the only things important to him are vp & square dancing with Bonnie. Now there's something to be proud of for a 68 yr. old. Where does everyone sign up for such a meaningful, significant and productive life??

That's not really a bad life. I wish I could make a living doing something fun like playing video poker, running to drawings, hosting seminars, taking fees for teaching and then go square dancing. So would a lot of other people.

I wouldn't trade with him... I like making television. But I'm guessing that my love for making TV is on par with his love for VP and gambling.

And then there are some people who like to RV. I wouldn't criticize them either.

Well, I left out something else he said that helped me post that: He has no family. Now who's fault is that. The more he writes about his life the slimier he gets. If anything, along with his despicable divorce, his life is an utter failure. He did well in the working world, but his putred treatment of women and his pride in manipulating every system imagineable tells me the reason he never had children--he's too selfish.

Video poker all the time is no way to live. I respect whatever work he does in the gaming industry because it's productive even if you disagree with how he does it, and everybody deserves a chance to make a living. Too bad he never got his priorities straight.

I've been able to amass an enviable bankroll --- which is still sizeable even after giving 50% of it to Shirley in a divorce I didn't see coming and certainly fought very hard to keep from happening.
    Any comment on this, Rob?

It sounds like Shirley just popped him with divorce papers out of the blue.

What is your theory as to why this occurred?

There are a lot of people who, for one reason or another, do not have families -- meaning children. That doesn't mean their life is a failure.

And sometimes when you are hit with divorce it's not your fault either. Sometimes you married a bad person. Trust me -- you don't get taken to the cleaners by a good person.

I don't know many Dancer details. I recall his wife was ill and couldn't handle casino smoke. Rob can correct me on this, but I believe the new wife's husband had just died. Read into that what you will. Rob?

Alan, not wanting children is one thing, but when you wrap that up with all the slime this guy flails around in, the meaning of why not rapidly changes.

You're the expert on divorce for sure, and I'm not even a rookie. But when you dump an ill wife because you'd rather keep the gambling habit going instead of be a care-giver for someone you took a vow with, the slime really oozes.

Red he said not only did the new wife's hubby recently pass away, but she was Shirley's best friend. My guess is, somewhere along the way Bonnie casually mentioned how "turned on" she was as she read his creepy "Sex, Lies, & Video Poker" and that, like an inexperienced high school kid who got his peepee touched by accident for the very first time, he couldn't help himself track this broad down, regardless of what it meant to the ex.

Rob Singer... don't you have a special tutoring session for 21-year old co-eds soon to be college graduates who want to learn how to play video poker? And when you autograph your books don't you add your phone number below your signature if she's pretty?

If at this age I met with a group of 21 yr.old gals for tutoring, I wouldn't care if the were coeds or Kardashians....well, maybe not those annoying skanks.

Yeah, like how now he claims he "didn't see it coming" when he's been writing about Shirley's inability to go to casinos because of the smoke for several years. Then there's how he "fought hard to keep it from happening". What a sick joke. Bonnie, take notice of how this creep operates.

Which leads us as to why he wrote about this in the first place. Same old insecurity--he needed to reassure us that he still has lots of dough. What I'd really like to hear from him is how all those supposed "edges" he says he's been playing with over the years, suddenly evaporated into thin air the moment she took 50% away from him. Poof. All for nothing. And he didn't just "lose 50% of his gambling bankroll" as he tries to make it appear.

He served her with the papers.

Well, it didn't take very long for the personal attacks to reappear in the forum.

I don't think this qualifies as personal attacks. More of a discussion about a celebrity who made personal info available publicly.

I agree with Alan. Dancer has often inserted seemingly inappropriate personal anecdotes and details into his columns, and he did it again. I doubt if he checked with Shirley regarding this column. I mentioned it because there is always a question about how accurate Singer's back channel info on Dancer is, and this was verification that at least some of it is spot on.

BTW, Alan ... Has Singer ever commented about Dancer without personal attacks?

Probably not, Arc, but right now Rob is in the clear.

You know the answer to that arci: only when he deserves it. Or would you rather have Shirley come on here and have her say what he's REALLY like? You know, I could be wrong. She may still love him.
