Thread: Keeping Dice on Axis

  1. #1
There are two schools of thought about dice influencing or dice control:

    1. It's impossible.

    2. It's possible, but no one can do it.

I think it's possible but I think very few can do it. Personally, I've only observed three people who I would consider to have a truly "influenced" throw. That doesn't mean they "control" the dice -- but they "influence" the dice.

Everyone influences the dice to a certain degree. For the least amount of influence -- the shooter keeps both dice on the table. The most influence I ever witnessed had the shooter throwing the dice so it appeared they were on axis, rotating together, and gently hitting and ever so gently bouncing off the back wall -- but that is where the "on axis" part ended.

Do dice have to bounce off the wall "on axis" to still be an influenced or winning throw? No.

But when someone says that even an on-axis throw is impossible, I know that is not true. Anyone with practice can have an on-axis throw. And to practice you only need two dice thrown on your bed. You can see for yourself if the throw is on axis.

The art and skill is keeping the throw soft and easy so the bounce off the back wall keeps the dice moving off axis very little.

I would never say on-axis throws are impossible.

Total nonsense. Dice control/influencing was just another subject created by the hustlers who need to sell gambling ideas and stuff because they can't beat the games they write about beating.

But, Rob, how do you feel about Bigfoot? Don't hold back.

Of course the casinos don't believe in DI. That's why I got booted from NYNY and MGM and Bellagio. It's total fiction.

Alan, casinos do not believe anyone ever holds an advantage over them in craps, and of course they're right. So-called DI's & DC's might irritate pit bosses with their BS holds and throws, but they know they're getting zero "advantage" from their antics. Combine that with lucky rolls or overly sensitive pit bosses, and people will get tossed. It's nothing more than that and never will be.

Rob I never claimed to control dice but all three casinos bounced me out saying they believe in it.

Hi Alan. I usually set the dice and toss accordingly, I rarely get any heat. I play at both MGM and TR properties. Were you permanently banned or just for that particular session/day? Were your betting levels making them nervous? Why do think you got booted?

At NY NY the box man took the dice away from me. I never went back.

At MGM my host there says I am welcome to return but I haven't been back in years.

At Bellagio I am not sure of anything.

I never had a problem at Caesars properties and the dealers at Caesars laughed at the Bellagio dealers when I tell them the story.

Edited to add: this is the original report about what happened to me at Bellagio when I posted as MoneyLA on the old rec gambling craps forum:
