Hmmm, actually, Rob's propensity to carry cash, a firearm, and travel interstate willy nilly sounds like he should be on every DEA and Homeland Security list imaginable. I guess one of us needs to perform a civic duty and call it in.

We all know Rob never clenches his jaw, buys energy drinks, has a pulsing carotid, or other suspicious behaviors, so he wouldn't get in any real trouble, anyway, right?

P.S. You know, it just occurred to me that someone who carries large sums of cash, a firearm, travels willy nilly interstate, claims he won money winning at negative expectation video poker, and says he never illegally changes lanes or goes a mile an hour over the speed limit, is probably a very, very suspicious character in the eyes of the law. Best to steer clear of the southern lawmen, Rob. They're an distrustful lot.
    An entirely stupid ramble.

I never change lanes without signalling, esp. in a 45 foot RV. And I never speed because I pay attention, even in my 480hp car that we tow.

But that's not what this is all about is it. It's about not trying to stay under the radar when you know what might await you down the road if you don't. I LOVE seeing all the speeding a-holes being ticketed as I drive the highways, and I salute any agency who finds lots if cash on these idiots and legally confiscates it. God Bless America.

    FAB
Not at all FAB. Law Enforcement has no problem with people obeying the law. They only see these people as suspicious if they aren't driving consistently. Conversely, anyone who's speeding or tailgating is fair game, and because they can't stop everyone on a busy highway, they go after the first one who stands out that drives aggressively. And when no one stands out, they have their pick of the litter. All those hotshot yuppies and hard working boys in their pickups who think the roads were created just for them, will get what's coming to them sooner or later. And if they have any large amounts of cash in their vehicles, I hope the cops teach them how to kiss it goodbye.

But Rob, doesn't your huge RV resemble a mobile meth lab?

Experience tells us that the cops don't bother the old folks in the nicer RV's. Mobile meth labs are almost always the run down junker class C's driven by slugs. And keep a keen eye out for them please. Most have Calif. plates.

Darn Rob. I thought you could be the next #1 TV series: meth lab in luxury RV driven by old white guy who launders drug money playing video poker in casinos around the country.

When do we start taping Alan? Put it on right after the Kardashians and we're big.

Who needs drugs? The freezing air, drifting smoke, constant buffeting by hosts, loud whiny servers, etc. will do you in first.

My life is dull. I play conventional video poker strategy, I tip, I use my player's card, and I don't carry large amounts of cash. There's no story with me.

Funny how these thieves, er, um, I mean police only take your money and nothing else.

"Rob Singin' the Smugglers' Blues," with guest appearances by Alan Mendelson and Glenn Frey.

Opening scene could be Rob signalling a lane change while threatening a tailgating driver with his .45 while also doing a line off his steering wheel.

"Smuggler's Blues" was actually the title of an episode of Miami Vice, and it featured Glenn Frey. The song was featured in that episode, too.

It was a well-liked episode, and they basically remade much of the plot into the very bad Miami Vice movie in 2006.

Here's the episode in case you feel like watching it and have 48 minutes to burn: http://www.nbc.com/classic-tv/miami-...s-blues/n30552

Yes, Dan, that was my fave song way back then.

"So baby, here's your ticket. Put this suitcase in your hand. Be cool for 20 hours, and I'll pay you 20 grand."

Not sure if this belongs here or on the big hits thread. I got a notice last week that my credit line was up for its standard 18 month review. This is normal--no prob. But because I have had notice of potential identity theft because of a breach with one of my credit cards, I haven't been using the bank account linked to that card and my credit line. They ask for 2 months statements--so I sent them statements from another account and asked them to link that account.

Today I am at the casino and ask for a marker which is denied. They claim they never received my e-mail so the account is suspended. I show them the confirmation of the e-mail on my cell phone. Now 2 hours on the phone with credit in Vegas while standing at the cage. Can't get it resolved. So I have only a few hundred on me and I'm pissed.

    Well--not pissed for long.

    That is a beautiful thing.

Casino heaven was watching out for you, regnis. And did you get your credit line resolved? (Also, K-T seems like a lucky combination for you!)

I call that revenge for their incompetence. Nice hits.

regnis I'm trying to figure out what casino you were in? I see the "mian" mark in the lower royal photo. I am going to take a stab and say Golden Nugget -- only because I did a quick search for branding on the Internet.
