Thread: the ultimate high roller private room at Caesars

  1. #1
For those of you interested in how the high rollers gamble, I was given this information about a particular high limit, private gaming parlor inside the Palace Court tables area at Caesars Palace.

The private parlor has three tables in it: roulette, blackjack and craps, and while there might be only one player in the parlor all of the tables are fully staffed allowing the single player to move freely from table to table. At craps he can move from side to side, so there are base dealers on both sides of the table.

Of course there is food service. And there is a SHOWER in the private bathroom. It is not unheard of for a high roller to spend 24+ hours in his private parlor playing, eating and taking showers.

What's really interesting is that Nevada has an open gaming law which means if you can find the room you can stand in the room and watch the action. And that might be the trick. The room is behind the very visible Palace Court but through some door or hallway.

By the way, the open gaming law means that NO casino can block you from walking into a high limit area and looking and watching. Those guards or reception people might be there to intimidate you -- and if they do -- just remind them that Nevada has the open gaming law.

For decades casinos have kept certain areas of certain floors reserved for their highest rollers to play in private. I have a pretty good idea of Wynn's reaction if you quoted a line about "open gaming laws" to him. I think Gaughan or the Fertittas would probably have similar responses.

And what would they do? Tell me to "keep walking"? And if I wrote a letter the NGC, or better yet, found the on-property NGC official what would he do?

What I am more worried about is what the high roller would do. I wouldn't want to cause the gambler any problems. I personally hate it when lurkers stand at the craps table watching.

I'll never forget the first time I walked around the Borgata poker room in AC.

I went into the back room, where the high limit games were being played.

There were 3 full tables, all the players had stacks of $100K or more.

Every one of them gave me a look that said "What the fk do you want? Get lost"

    I understood completely...and I did....and I've never been back there again.

I'll railbird any tournament table as a fan, but I'll never go scope a high-limit game again,
it's not fair to the players...they don't like it.

I agree, and I wouldn't like it either. But now that I know about this high limit private room at Caesars, the next time I'm there I am going to walk in to take a look at it. If someone is playing I'll just glance in from the door. But if there is no player I will take it all in, including the shower. (Look, I mean.)

    You got that right, Alan.

I only get to Vegas once or twice a year, but finding that room is at or near the top of my next LV to-do list.

It's good to have a plan, right?

Kinda reminds me of hunting down the secret pizza place at Cosmo...come to think of it, they didn't seem too thrilled that I was in there either.

    What secret pizza place??

Forum rule # 138.B.022a No keeping secrets about pizza places.

Ahhhhh--the secret pizza place. It is down an unmarked hallway by the restaurants on the 2nd (or is it 3rd) floor. Pizza is pretty good--not as good as the hype. New york style.

Worth the trip just to say you've been there.

Alan--you better post that rule book somewhere on this forum and institute some type of fines or suspensions. Maybe random drug testing too.

I also will be looking for this high roller room. I would not want to play craps all alone in there if I were a hi roller. Craps needs some goofy people and comradery.

One night recently I was playing all alone at 3 A.M. and had a pretty good run and a lot of chips in the rack. A half naked drunk pretty blond came over and started laying all over me. She clearly was only interested in my rack (and I in hers I guess). The floor man and I kind of locked eyes and I gave a little head shake "no" and 3 gorillas took her away. I can understand some guy playing craps for 100's of thousands not wanting any lurkers.

Regnis you're so silly. You know the forum rule book is in Rob Singer's storage locker with the other stuff.

So what are the limits on their craps game?

  14. #14
I was told that one high roller was placing $150,000 per box number. In the main casino the max is $50,000.

  15. #15
$150,000 might even make Phil Ivey blush! No I should have said what the minimum was.

  16. #16
I have no idea what the minimum is for your own private gaming salon with three tables, dealers at each table, plus a bathroom with shower and food service but, as they say, if you have to ask you can't afford it. LOL

I do know that if you have $25,000 (that's all) you can reserve your own craps table at Caesars.

Frankly I've never seen anyone have their own table with only $25K but it was explained to me that was the minimum required.

By the way, at my wedding at the craps table at Caesars the table minimum for my party was $10. We had the ceremony and then played craps for about an hour. It was done as a favor to me. No big betting required.

I am at Caesars right now and went into the Palace Court to look at the high roller room with the craps table. I saw four private gaming rooms with multiple tables. But no room with a craps table. Several dealers told me there was no craps table there then I remembered the room was down some hallway which I didn't see. I am going to try again later when some of the staff I know is here.

How long are you in town for, Alan?

Alan--where exactly is it located? Is it a secret unmarked door or something? All these years I have never seen it.

I'm sure there's more private, high limit "salons" you'll never know about at Caesars or any other big name casino chain.
