Thread: Spa Casino in Palm Springs

I was passing through Palm Spring today and stopped in to The Spa Casino to check it out. I did not play here. The video poker was limited. I found 7/5 Bonus Poker even on the high limit machines in the high limit gaming area. There was 9/5 Jacks or Better at the upper denominations. At the lower denominations the paytables were reduced especially on multi line video poker games. The casino which is small is very clean. I visited the men's room in the high limit gaming area and I was very impressed with how it was spotless and there is a photo and an article about it on the "Casino Public Restrooms" page of the main website. I've been going to Spa Casino since the late 90's when you had to pay 50 cents a hand for blackjack! I think they were still negotiating their gambling license with the state. Ever since it moved to it's current building, it's remained one of the cleanest casino's in town. Maybe because it's not as busy and doesn't pick up the freeway traffic? I remember a few years ago though when Spa Resort and it's sister Agua Caliente raised all their slots to 2 cents. Backfired big time and it wasn't long before they dropped them all back 1 cent.

What sucks about them is their comps. I rarely receive free nights and have never received a coupon for free food. Fantasy Springs offers me free nights every now and then, but nothing like the San Diego casino's. It's a shame because I really enjoy the area and would be willing to visit more often if there was more incentive.
