$10 craps tables at Caesars Palace are now widely available and at "peak times" it's $15 minimum bets. The $25 minimum which used to be standard is pretty much gone.
I was surprised when some dealers told me they hate the new lower limits. But after listening to them their argument made sense.
First lower limits attract new players and that means more questions and more explanation and more discussion about how to play. Dealers have become teachers.
Lower betting means smaller tips and less income. By the way your tip at a craps table is divided among about 400 people.
And the biggest complaint is who is playing craps now. The $10 games brings in players with $60 who yell during the game and then yell at the dealers and order whatever drinks they can but don't tip because the cocktail waitress took too long and they lost their $60 before the drinks arrived.
