Thread: How do you prove your "advantage play" and winning strategy?

  1. #41
I've been 7-Stars only for 1 year, and it really took a LOT of play on a few high limit machines to get there. No way you Dan, as a 7-Stars member, can ever be considered "overcomped", especially with all those little freebies you try to get from them. Some useless host may SAY you're overcomped as they're trying to save company money here and there. But unless you're asking for private flights to various properties around the country, you are not really overcomped.

Dan it sounds to me based on the Windsor incident that you have been coded PITA. That's "pain in the ass." Just how many people have you pissed off?

I can be a pain in the ass, but I wasn't there.

I backed down very quickly about the suite thing, and I just wanted a "best available non-suite" as guaranteed by my 7 Stars benefit (and it was my 7 Stars trip!)

The host was more annoyed that, unlike most Seven Stars she books, mine wouldn't book as comp because my overcomping was so high, so she had to do extra work to make it happen.

Okay, Dan. If calling yourself "overcomped" makes you feel better then call yourself "overcomped."

The reality is you're not getting the other stuff. And the real question is why? Is your play not enough, or have you pissed people off so that your account is coded not to give you offers?

You might recall how, in the past, I wrote about the hosts at Caesars Palace who were bothered when Caesars was merged into Harrah's and Diamond players from Tunica came to Caesars demanding "everything." What they were worth in Tunica was not what they were worth at Caesars. Hence the phrase "Diamonds from Tunica" to describe the players who asked for more than what they were entitled to.

I wasn't even asking them to give me RCs or comps for this, but it pissed me off when they said, "You always stay here and don't play", when I did play while staying -- just online instead of live. And they promote WSOP.com all over the place, including INSIDE the hotel, where they encourage you to stay in your room and play on there (especially at the Rio). But this was yet another case of CET's departmental disconnect.
Why would you stay in a hotel to play online? Why not play from home?

He must play from a Nevada location for the WSOP site.

I'm not getting offers because I have redeemed more in Seven Stars comps than the computer would have liked, versus my amount of play.

That's known as "overcomped", as I keep saying.

I did not piss anyone off at the casino. In fact, I have had very little interaction with the casino people, because I avoid hosts unless I absolutely need them for something (such as booking Seven Stars trips), and I know I won't get any extras comp-wise, so I don't ask.

It's possible some of the people at a few hotels don't like me, because I've complained about various fails that have occurred, but that's completely separate from the casino.

This is a bit different than your situation at Rincon. Over there, it seems more personal, where someone working for the Indian tribe looked at this site and took a dislike to one or more of your posts/editorials, and perhaps also felt irritated at your freeplay redemptions. (I'm not taking their side here, but explaining that it's a lot easier to piss off the Rincon Casino than the huge corporate CET casinos.)
