Thread: Did I ever show a profit?

You'd have a hard time with the IRS with this thinking. The IRS looks at each year individually.

By your system if you won a million dollars one year then lost $10,000 the next year you'd still be paying as if you had a profit.

Read my post again shot how I mention how the IRS works. Go to a casino just once a year and hit a $2000 JP then proceed to lose it back and $500 more. You lost $500 but the IRS thinks you won $2000. What they think means nothing. YOU'RE STILL IN THE HOLE $500!!!

No, you're not in the hole.

You offset your wins with your losses. Yes, it's true that the $2,000 win will affect your AGI (that's adjusted gross income) but you do not have a taxable gain.

Alan, I thought you only played one day a month

You must still be in mourning. Come on now--shake it off and try hard.

I usually make one trip to Vegas a month to meet with clients and to have fun. Since I no longer play at Rincon where I used to go weekly (and sometimes more often), I now go to Vegas more often. It doesn't hurt that I've hit so many royals, either, or that Bellagio has been giving me some very attractive free play offers plus full RFB.

I will have some "news" in the next few weeks which will put a crimp in my number of Vegas trips per month. It's good news, however. It might even make Rob happy.

I already know Alan. And putting yourself at less risk on those roads is a good thing. There does come a point where going to casinos so often becomes something more than simple entertainment anyway. If you don't agree however, talk to arci.

I was coming home from the casino on I-20 and an 18 wheeler practically ran over me and my Chrysler 300. He said he didn't see me (daylight) but his cab was just passing my car when his first set of dual wheels hit me. It was like outta nowhere. Just last week and the car's still in the shop.

    I hope you're okay.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a case of driver fatigue.

About two years ago, about three blocks from my old house in West LA, I was rear ended while stopped at a red light. I was rear ended by a passenger car that was rear ended by a moving van. It was the mover's fault 100%. When I was talking to the driver of the moving van he admitted he dozed off because it was a long day. Yes, I was on my way to Caesars -- and this happened in my own neighborhood.

I have a feeling it was communicating with other drivers, as he had that mike in front of his mouth and I feel like he wasn't paying attention. Yeah, he just raked down the side of my car. I know this is silly, but I was passing the Shreveport airport and though the wing of a plane or something hit my car=it was so outta the blue.

I was just giving you a hard time, Alan.

BTW, congratulations on your upcoming m....

Score for me another trip to Vegas (Sunday night) and another 24 hours of almost continuous play (call me Iron Man but I did take bathroom breaks) when I finished with a profit. And it was a healthy profit too. Rob will call me an addict but the truth is this: Jason and his girlfriend were driving to Vegas Sunday night to take care of her doctor appointments and visiting with family in Vagas. I was with Linda most of the day shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond. Linda had to work Monday and since my cameraman was out of town and Monday was our usual day off, I joined Jason and his girl for the ride up.

I called my host and got a room at Caesars with the best offer available and it was cheap: $250 of free play and $75 dining credit.

Now if Rob wants to call me a liar about never playing $25 video poker again, and an addict about returning to a casino, let him. In fact, I sent him text messages with photos from Vegas because even I was amazed at how lucky I was on this unplanned trip.

Three key photos going on the Big Casino Wins and Jackpot thread.

You can view this trip as a continuation of your previous trip (after a short suspension). If you had actually quit you wouldn't have reaped those profits.

PS. I had another good trip as well.

I couldn't be happier with how you're mugging the casinos, and everyone has their ways regardless of what I or any anonymous people say. If you think you're an addict (you might) and it's put you into this hot streak of luck (of course, jbjb believes it's loser's skill or some odd interpretation) then you're doing it right.

You do notice, however, that very few of us have ever put our large winning pics up. Have we seen anything from RS__? Any pile of big ticket chips in front of storey-teller jbjb? And what about all those "winning trips and jackpot hands" from arci!? See anything funny about this? Ooh....ooh....I've got it! RS__can't afford a camera or a phone. Casinos don't pay minions very much, and the stores don't take AP phantom bucks. jbjb still hasn't "vultured" a phone. And arci's wife took his with her.

Keep talking shit asshole, I'll find you!

Mmmm, yes -- so you can claim they're fake/not mine? Really, there is no benefit to me in posting any of my jackpots online. I rarely take a picture of jackpots now a days, anyway. Usually only if they're very big or something weird (like getting 2 out of 3 SF's on a 4-to-SF draw...or hitting AAAA multiple times, etc.).

I see it everyday day RS_. I see others hit huge jackpots too. Even when they leave that day, the always comeback and blow it. I could make $5 a day guaranteed and these clods with their $10,000 jackpots will NEVER catch up to me in "profits."

Mmmm, yes -- I recall Rob posting a photo of a big win on a $25 machine.

Your crew claimed them to be fake, because the $25 symbol was not within the oval.

Alan checked the machine out himself, and it was found to be just as in Rob's photo.

After Alan verified that the machine was legit...crickets.

I never said it was fake nor would I say it about anyone else. I see many high roller jackpots a day. Doesn't mean these people can make a living playing these games.

And it also doesn't mean that they can't.

But when someone claims to have won, yet does not provide proof of some sort, does that mean that they are lying about winning?

    1) He claimed to have all kinds of documents to support his many claims in a storage locker in AZ. He has yet to provide one single shred of evidence.
    2) He claimed to have won over a million dollars but would not send his tax returns to Alan for verification
