Thread: Caesars Palace Julius Tower Expansion

  1. #1
Not much of a T.R. person, but got this e-mail:

Expected to welcome its first guests January 1, 2016, the new 587-room Julius Tower at Caesars Palace will feature new design-savvy, modern rooms and suites. Sleek décor, stone accents, luxurious furnishings and Roman-inspired artwork make every guest feel like royalty.

The reservations are up and running, I wonder if NYE invitees get first dibbs on this.

It's not an expansion. It's a makeover of an old tower.

I am skeptical that a renovation of the Roman Tower will be comparable to the relatively new Augustus and Octavius Towers.

Also, it still won't have a view like Augustus does.

I also believe that the Julius Tower rooms (former Roman Tower) are smaller than Augustus/Octavius and Palace Tower rooms. Back in the day rooms in Vegas were just smaller and a place to sleep between gambling jaunts. The Casinos wanted people gambling not luxuriating in the room. Based on the square footage on the CP website, it looks like Julius Towers are about a third smaller than Augustus/Octavius/Palace rooms. I guess it is possible the location is better for some people who want access to a certain part of Ceasars Palace and the rooms are newly renovated but I would not pay top dollar for smaller rooms.

Yes. The Julius Tower is closer to the cage and the buffet. For many the true essentials of a trip. LOL
