Thread: New Year's Eve on the High Roller

I found this on the Vegas.com website. Are they having full bars on each of the cars on the High Roller on New Year's Eve? It sounds that way based on this:

New Year's Eve on The High Roller
Ring in the new year from 550 feet above Las Vegas on the world’s tallest observation wheel. The wheel will offer views of the city from 28 glass-enclosed cabins, each accommodating up to 25 guests with a full bar and a Champagne toast. A private cabin overlooking the Strip starts at $6,250 and includes priority boarding, a full premium open bar and a special Champagne toast at midnight. Individual tickets start at $250 per person for one of the lower cabins with a full bar and a Champagne toast.

LOL @ anyone who buys a $6250 cabin here. Wow.

Also pretty bad that you have to pay $250 per person and get one of the LOWER cabins (meaning your view will suck, and in fact probably be inferior to just standing outside).

Guess they have to find a way to monetize this expensive failure.

But yeah, it sounds like they are going to stuff an open bar into each of these things, though honestly there's not a lot of room to do so.

That price of $6250 is 25 X $250 which means if you have a group of 25 your get your own cabin. Each cabin is limited to 25.

I've seen small portable bars at casino events -- the kind they set up in the corners of the ballroom. But they are usually limited to a few different wines and a few spirits. If they are serving champagne it won't be a problem.

So dumb that they won't give a discount to someone booking an entire cabin.

You would think they would give an incentive to large groups booking this, especially since many may not have exactly 25 people, and you don't want a group of 20 feeling like they are wasting extra money.

But they are probably overestimating the public's interest in this, as they do with everything.
