Thread: Getting a haircut in Vegas

  1. #1
I need a haircut and while I am in Vegas why not get one? I'd rather get a trim that will last me three or four weeks, than get a trim at the tables that might last only seconds but cost even more.

The salon at Caesars charges $80 for a men's haircut. Ouch. I remember getting my hair styled there about five or so years ago and it cost me $40 (which I paid with comps).

I was told there was a barber on the valet level under the Forum casino -- is it still there?

I'm not opposed to walking to another nearby casino.

    Any ideas?

You may consider hopping an Uber to Chinatown -- I've gone to Beauty to Beauty (4631 Spring Mountain) which to date has given me the best haircut I've ever had.

But yeah, if just a trim, any ol' casino will do. I got one at Harrah's last week. It was $30 (down from $40 because of the 25% Seven Stars discount).

Thanks maxev -- is that the Harrah's salon or is it a barber shop inside Harrah's?

Hmm... didn't even know they had a barbershop! I just called the spa/salon and booked a men's haircut.

Oh by the way -- another thing to do is to go to the spa before and after for a shower (since it's free for 7 Stars). Sure you look goofy wearing a robe, but you don't have to worry about all the hairs in your shirt collar.

I used to get my haircut at either the Stardust or the Plaza. They had the old time barbers that shave your neck. Seems like that is a lost science these days.

I once got clipped at Mr Cys. Come on--some of you more "mature" gentlemen remember Mr. Cys.

I also had a haircut at the Stardust. That brought back some memories -- both of the Stardust and my hair!

Nowadays, it's "Zero me out, man," and I don't even have time to watch a weather report.

Buzz mine too and do it myself. Haven't haven't paid for a hair cut since I bought my clippers some 10+ years ago.

I like the "Art of Shaving" at the Venetian/Palazzo shops. Mike gives a good haircut and you can treat yourself to a shave if you feel like it.

The barber at the Stardust told me stories about Joe Louis, Billy Conn and Joey Maxim. They were casino hosts at Caesars and he used to cut their hair.
