Thread: craps game

What craps needs is some excitement instead of all the nonsense about what
happened or did not happen or what I can do etc.

We need a world series of craps...period.

$2000 buy in, double elimination tournament, 100 players to start.

$10,000 in chips, each one on one session is 5 hands for each player,
you bet only on your roll. winner with most chips moves to next
    round.

Might take weekend. But winner gets $100,000, split balance.

Put our money on ourselves, see where we end up.

Interesting idea. I've played in casino tournaments but your idea is totally different.

In casino tournaments you bet on other players and may never throw the dice yourself.
Your tournament would test shooters for their ability to hit the numbers they bet on.
    You'd need a private table.
I'd take part but $2000 is too steep for me.
The biggest poker tournament I ever played in was $240 and the $40 went to the casino.

    Thanks for the reply.

Buy in could be what ever anyone wanted, but for a casino, imagine the advertising
in terms of getting the best people, or at least some of the best for a chance to win
    $50,000 or $100,000.

This would be a no brainer for the right casino. Imagine the excitement for the
last 8 matches. Hell I am getting excited just thinking about it.

Entry fee is no issue, I just don't understand the game well enough to have a chance to win...
Poker I'll buy for anything, anytime

dicesitter.....what's stopping you from doing this yourself?

This could be done in a dealers school. But I can see the marketing potential for a casino.

Actually what this is, is handing the dice to a shooter, giving him chips, and saying roll and bet to make the most money. It would be a test for DIs to hit the numbers they think they can hit.

I'd take part. Even in a private home. But for $200 plus $40 to cover expenses or fees.

Can you set this up? At a school or private home? If we had an "interest list" we could approach a casino about giving us a table using tournament chips -- hopefully they would charge a low fee. I could offer as an add-on a free promotional spot/commercial on my TV show if they would cooperate.

half to decide where this could be, I have good contacts here, but Wisconsin would not be the best place I don't think

Talked to one local casino last night, they were excited about the idea.

I will follow up but they may do it on a smaller scale to see if it generates some excitement
    for their craps pit.

If they give me a month's notice -- and want it -- I'll give it a free plug on my TV show.
