Thread: Foolproof Marketing Plan to garner new customers

  1. #1
Here is my foolproof marketing plan for any casino to bring in and keep new customers...

Treat every customer equally, I know many of you in here will scoff at this idea. Consider this "Tom" comes in with $60 in his pocket he goes to the nickel machines goes through his $60 in a hour and a half... I'd have a host say Tom come have dinner and some wine.
Bet you anything Tom comes back next time he has $60 or more dollars in his pocket.

Here is where every casino has failed, they could care less about the "Tom's" of the world.

I'd rather have 40-50 Tom's than 2 or 3 supposed "big time" players because they want everything for them and their "friends" They might blow $10,000 or $20,000 over the weekend but what did it cost your place of business?? Rooms, meals, booze, tickets, limo, etc

Tom only wants a meal and a glass of wine, maybe a show ticket...

If you go back to basics you'll keep people happy. They will want to come back to your place time and time again. They will tell their family and friends about your place...

Sad to say this will never happen though and that's a shame...

In my business career I was told to earn a penny, turn it into a nickel then a dime then a quarter then .50 then a dollar...

People today don't have those work ethics or any ethics

You're right about one thing, LoneStar -- high rollers can be too demanding and they can go from being "overcomped" to "undercomped" pretty quickly.

But no casino can tolerate giving away more in comps than what they earn from a player. Using your example of the $60 player: sure, they could give him something -- even up to $60 if they wanted to. But they can't give him more than $60 if they want to stay in business.

Have you ever heard of customer accusation cost ?? Tom loses $60 you give him a buffet and a glass of wine. That free meal cost the casino maybe $6. So they made $54 on him and made him want to come back with friends...

I had customers fly in almost every week of the year, they saw Broadway Shows, ate at the 21 Club stayed in the Plaza hotel, limos....
Whatever it cost me I got it back 100 times over...

Yes I know about customer acquisition costs. I just think your numbers are out of whack. Where do you get the $6 steak dinner or buffet with wine for the player who lost $60?
