Thread: Has the Small, Tall, All Bets spread to other Caesars properties?

  1. #1
As I posted before, Caesars Palace has removed the Fire Bet and replaced it with the Small, Tall, All bets on its craps tables. Have other Caesars properties followed suit?

My understanding is is also at Harrahs and Rio in Las Vegas.

I like Small, Tall and All bets ("Features") over the Firebet. The last weekend I was at Bellagio, I hit two Talls. Moreover, the house advantage on Firebets are three times the house advantage on the Feature bets. Therefore I applaud the switch and hope that all the CET tables do so.

I find the All/Tall/Small a more expensive bet since you have to make it more often and you have to cover 3 bets not just one.

Each 7 costs you 3 units. No matter if the point is on or off.

However, I have hit the All a few times though but have never had a 6 point fire hit.

Roeincarnate makes an excellent point. Winner 7 on any come out roll kills your STA bets. This is why I call it a great bet for anyone with a high SRR -- seven to rolls ratio. If you think you are a Dice Influencer this is the bet for you. DIs can show their stuff and get paid for it too.

Walked thru planet Hollywood. They still have fire bet. Dealers at Caesars all told me the fire bet got way more handle.

When I was at Caesars, the Small, Tall, All bet was new and players were not making the bet. The few that did had to lower the amount they bet because of the THREE spots. Most Firebet players did one or $2 on the Firebet. Now they were facing three betting options.

Also, players who would risk $1 or $2 on the Fire would only have to risk that money ONE TIME per shooter.

But with the STA, the shooter could have a come-out winner 7 which kills the STA bets -- and that makes the STA an even more expensive bet.

The dealers have a "call" for a winner-7 when there are STA bets -- they say "winner-7, you win but you lose."

My son and I are always discussing betting options to take into consideration the whammy that a winner-7 has. What I've decided to do is make sure that my passline bet exceeds the value of all three STA bets so that I can replace them with a winner-7. This is not a problem when I'm at a $25 table: I will have $25 on the pass and $5 on each of the STA for $15 total.

We've even discussed having any-seven bets as insurance in order to accommodate larger STA bets, for example when we are at a $10 minimum table and want $5 or larger bets on the STA.

I have played the STA a total of 6 hours and have hit one All, and independently one small and two Talls. By contrast I have played the Firebet the equivalent of days (weeks?) and only hit two 5-points and NO six point Firebets. So I am a fan of the STA over the Firebet.

I wonder if CET is conducting an experiment by having some STA and some Firebets on their craps tables to see which one makes them the most money.

At Caesars Palace all of the craps tables have the same STA bets -- the Firebet is gone. In the Forum casino where there is a $5 table that is open only on weekends, there was never a Firebet. It's possible that they are making the switchover one casino at a time. My guess is they would not "test" anything since they would have to pay licensing fees to both companies.

The dealers at Caesars told me it was ALL about the marketing fees. Again, the handle on the fire bet was much higher. But so were the marketing fees.

I do not know who owns the small-tall-all bet.

Galaxy Gaming owns it. The new layouts at Caesars are the same layouts for Bonus Craps that Galaxy shows on its website. I don't know what the license fees are.

The guys at "You Can Bet On That" podcast talked about Cearsars and AST in show 92.

I just came back from Harrah's New Orleans. Oddly, there are ATS on some craps tables there and a Fire Bet on one other. On Saturday night I saw all eight craps tables open, most had a minimum bet of $15 and a couple had a $25 minimum bet. The one table with a Fire Bet was a $15 minimum. Assuming that CET was migrating from Fire Bet to the ATS, I thought it odd that there were both types of side bets on the floor as I thought it was a license issue. I only played craps once for an hour that trip and made $165 before I called it a night. Twice I was sitting one number away from either a Tall or a Small but no hits. A dealer told me he never heard it called a "features bet" before I said it. I asked him what they called it in New Orleans and he said "Bonus craps."

I was the shooter at the end and had a nice roll (including some hardways) but it ended when a guy slid up to the table next to me and jostled my right arm as I was throwing the dice - Seven out (six and one). Interestingly, the stick man berated him for that before I could even say anything. I guess I had some hardways with the crew along with me and he appreciated my bets - and was trying to stick up for me as well as trying to teach some basic etiquette. The other player had no response and I colored up.

Bonus Craps is the official name given by Galaxy Gaming.

When I played STA at Sams Town years ago I don't recall any "name" given to it.
When I played it at Red Rock about six months ago again there was no "name."

I heard "feature bets" first used at Bellagio. Some players mistakenly called it the "future bets".

When I played at Caesars I called it the "feature bets" and I'm not sure if others also used. "Bonus Craps" is on the layout at Caesars.

"Bonus Craps" has replaced the Fire Bet at Bally's in Atlantic City, and players seem to love betting the STA.
