Wheel of Fortune Audition, it is where it all starts - Wednesday February 17 6pm - 10pm

I've seen this before and the lines are really long. Lot of interest than what people will believe.

Open Casting for The Bachelor and Bachelorette, based on your gender - Thursday Feburary 18 4pm - 9pm

Must be 21 years of age.

This is pretty smart marketing on the part of Morongo to have this. They allow 18 year olds to gamble and while the minimum age for the TV shows is 21, these younger folks will at least get to see or walk thru a casino that they can tell their contemporaries about.

I always wondered why shows like the Bachelor and Bachelorette featured youngin's in their 20s and 30s. But I didn't wonder for long -- who the heck wants to watch 55+ singles talking about their exes and AARP memberships and status of their health plans and pension funds?

But it could have a good market for advertising dollars: Viagra, MetLife, even Lincoln and Cadillac could see the potential here.

On the other hand there are some cable TV channels that target 55+ and why they haven't come up with a senior dating show surprises me.

There are online dating sites for 50+.

I forgot to mention, Morongo sponsors ABC Eyewitness news, KABC radio station, and the Los Angeles local channel. I see a bunch of their ad presence every time I tune into ABC. Hence it might be the reason auditions are held there as the Southern California spot. I think they also sponsor CBS too. There have been more media presence at Morongo lately.

For the Wheel of Fortune, I think they only allow 18-21 years to play during the college week, the auditions are seperate for that.

I agree with your perspectives as well with the Bachelor show.
