Professional sports teams have shunned Vegas because of gambling and their desire to be free of any gambling links.
Yet the city and casino companies continue to push for a major team or teams.
Tourism would benefit but would the sports leagues?
Latest is with Adelson pushing for a new domed stadium and the Raiders.

Frankly, for any sports league to say it doesn't want to be in Vegas because of nearby gambling is pointless today with gambling available with the exception I think of only Utah and Hawaii.
I think a major team or league would love to have the potential for added revenue that ticket prices might fetch in Vegas with subsidies from casinos offering seats to their patrons as part of promotions.
