Thread: 2015 Football Handicapping Contests Results

  1. #1
I think that I need to have some respect for what I accomplished these past few months, so I'll go ahead and mention the results. I'm not getting any younger, and I need to appreciate this stuff.

I won the offshore Race to the Super Bowl, which features a first place prize of 25K in wagers on the Super Bowl.

I finished third in the Northbet Pick the Pros contest. If you go to Northbet.ag, the promotional panel will eventually rotate to a picture of some trophies.

These two contests had thousands of entrants.

I also finished second in LineMasters Bowl Contest, with a game record of 10-2 and a points record of 75-13.

Here's hoping everyone enjoys Super Bowl week. It is truly a fascinating and unique aspect of American culture.

Could you please explain what each of those contests are and/or what you bet on?

In The Race to the Super Bowl, you had to pick 20 games a week. Those 20 games included all NFL games without spreads. Since there weren't 20 NFL games each week, the remaining games were NFL totals and college toss-up games.

In Pick the Pros, you simply picked all of the NFL games without spreads.

In LineMasters, you selected 12 college bowl games versus the spread and ranked them 12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-5-5-5-5.

Not being an expert in this field, notwithstanding, that seems like quite an accomplishment. Does the self-proclaimed sports betting luminary Fezzik have any of those trophies?

Fezzik has won six major handicapping contests. And four second place finishes. The only person to win the Las Vegas Hilton contest twice. He competed againt thousands of handicappers. Whats your record, Rob?

Not surprising a high school dropout couldn't read the question.

Fezzik's a lifetime loser who has always been ridiculed for his record whenever and wherever he publicized his picks. I'm a lifetime sports betting winner. If you had enuf money to get internet in 2011 you'd have seen the parlay bet I posted here prior to the games, that yielded about a $45,000 profit. I made the bet because of some info I received before the games that most people didn't know about. An "advantage play plus". And I'm not stupid enough to make bets at online casinos. I got paid immediately, and in cash.

Fezzik's picks in the contests became public information, duflus. He's actually at 55% lifetime on his public picks, which makes him world class. We've already seen how well you've done with your public picks, about 35%, then you quit out of embarrassment.

    True story:

One of the local bookmakers near my hometown was legendary. He handled enormous action from the most humble of locations, and did an incredible amount of the phone work himself. Anyway, eventually he was arrested by the feds and one of his assistants was put on the stand in an effort to bring down the bookmaker. First the DA had to establish that this assistant was privy to and part of the bookmaking operation. So one of the initial questions when the assistant took the stand was, "Mr. ****, do you know what a parlay is?"

The DA expected an explanation or description. Instead, he got the following,

"Yes I do, sir. It's a really stupid bet."

The courtroom, full of locals and knowledgeable people, burst into laughter.

Yeah I felt completely stupid collecting twice the amount in profit that you get on welfare in a year

It's called "negative reinforcement." You got lucky but in your mind you think you outsmarted someone. You were taking way the worst of it. Why aren't you bragging about more hits like that? There's no telling how many parlays you bet. But you are bragging about just one hit.

BTW, whoever is selling picks at SteveFezzik.com is not Fezzik. Fezzik doesn't sell picks. They have never been able to figure out who has stolen his name.

The one exception for parlay cards is the half point cards. I'm not in a location to exploit it but Shack and his followers in his thread on the subject at WoV are making money on them.

There's such a wide gap between the life of a slug like you and someone like me. I read all this nonsense you post and realize it comes from a place of pain, alcoholism, loneliness, and all the struggles of being pure white trash.

For some reason when you tell those stories about your past time in Nevada, you are such a low-life that you actually think it was something special to have had no car and have had to hitchhike around like a bum. Even today you chirp about how $650 is a "lot of money". You're so far from the reality I know that it's particularly sad in your case, because we can all see how life continues to torture you. You get what you reap I guess.

$650 is pretty close to my average daily earn. Yesterday I did $1033 but over the long haul it averages to about $600 a day. Gambing has been my only income for almost 20 years. If I was such a poor boy I would have jumped on social security the first day I was eligible for it like you did. I don't need the money and can afford to wait.

I bumped this thread up for Rob's benefit. He appears to have forgotten about it.
