That's right...because you wagered all the free play.

If you had played only 4 credits and hit JJ, you could have cashed out $400, and you'd have 1 credit of freeplay remaining.

    You are correct, I misspoke.

See my example with the $100 jacks or better game.

Tell you what I'll use my IPhone and video it for you.. Then post it, won't tell you the casino in Vegas though.. Don't want my "ATM" to dry up
Im not a stubborn bastard. I just don't understand how you can win on black with a bet of 50 and win more than 50 on an even money bet.

Don't feel bad Alan. Look how long it took me. The winning bet gets paid but the machine also exchanges the freeplay credits with actual cash credits.

Basically it's being treated like a match play coupon.

The video roulette free play is not treated the same as table roulette free play.

On the machines, your original bet is returned to you...even if it was freeplay.

So 50 bet on red & 50 bet on black, will return 100 if either black or red come out.

You get your 50 bet back, plus the 50 win.

    Phew.... Correct

This is the first time I ever heard of something like this. Can't wait to see the video.

    Alan

In Harrahs Marina in AC 95% of the Seven Stars do this with their free play....

Like I said. I figured it out by looking at it as if it were a VBJ machine. You have $100 fp. Make the $100 bet on VBJ and get a tie. The free play credits will be returned as cash credits and can be cashed out. Essentially you'll win $100 on a push. Just like they showed on VP getting just a pair of jacks. With a money bet, you'll just push. But with fp, you actually win.

I understand you are saying roulette and video black jack are different. But in video poker you don't get your free play for another play and you don't get it converted to cash. The free play in video poker is used once and it's gone.

As I said my experience has only been using free play on video poker -- not video roulette. So this is new to me. Can't wait to see the video.

The difference is the machines for VBJ, roulette, etc., treat it as a table game would and give your bet back. VP doesn't do that because it's considered a slot machine.

That makes sense. But as I mentioned before, when I have a free play chip at craps the free play chip is returned to me -- and it is not converted to a "cashable chip." If you are saying the machines are different, I will accept it.

    You are incorrect.

Once the free play is wagered, and the cards are dealt, the free play is converted to cash.

The machine treats it exactly as if you had bet cash.

Yes. What you're describing is a non-negotiable chip or also called "play till you lose" chip if I'm understanding right. Free bet chips or coupons are different where as win or lose, it's removed from play.

Hold on a second. Yes, free play is converted to cash for the play in video poker, but you don't get to cash it out.

    Example A
You have $5 of free play and bet 5 credits. You get a pair of jacks that pays $5. You cash out the $5. There is no more free play for you to use. The $5 of free play was converted to $5 of "coin in" and your $5 of coin in hit a break-even bet.

    Example B
You have $5 of free play and bet 5 credits. You get three of a kind that pays $15. You cash out the $15. There is no more free play for you to use. The $5 of free play was converted to $5 of "coin in" and your $5 of coin in hit a three of a kind.

    Example C
You have $10 of free play and bet 5 credits. You get a pair of Jacks paying $5. You cash out the $5. There is still $5 of free play remaining for you to bet as free play -- but it is not money you can cash out in video poker.
