I hope Alan doesn't mind my posting this. I do think members of this forum will find it interesting:

Thanks Frank. I subscribe to your emails and I read this a couple days ago. I haven't run across your werewolf yet but the "kids" who leave the clubs and come right to the craps tables to continue their party is my cue to leave.

I wouldn't consider the young people stumbling out of the clubs and up to the tables the kind of casino werewolves Frank wrote about. They're not really there for hard core gambling as much as those who are trying to drown out their everyday life problems by gambling & drinking heavy or those who make trips to casinos 40 times a year thinking it's something anyone would be impressed by.

In some primitive or infantile part of his churning brain he is convinced everyone wants to know what kind of luck he has been having. He perceives himself as the center of the casino action and as such, he deserves to be heard because (he imagines) everyone is quite eager to hear from him.

If he happens to be winning, he will make sure everyone knows what a great player he is. He will share his exact hands with anyone who will listen.

Wait, wasn't that the whole purpose of Alan's Casino Wins and Jackpots thread??
