You can call me either one. Some people don't like the term "professional gambler" so AP is used instead. That's all.

I guess you can call me a professional gambler but my game is TV advertising. I try to make advantage plays when I can.

Trial lawyers can also be professional gamblers and they try to make advantage plays with a jury.

Cardiologists can also be professional gamblers and I hope they have winning advantage plays when they're betting my money and my health is on the line.

    Hi Redietz:

There has been so much ownership turnover at the Plaza, it is possible they lost track of you if you haven't been there in a while. I have been a "new member" of the Tropicana slot club a couple of times over the years. Regardless, the Plaza promo is so lucrative I agree you should bring Plaza "virgin" friends and family if they are visiting with you.

These periodic new member promos lead me to avoid getting players cards at casinos new to me - just in case they later announce a juicy promo.

At least with the two simultaneous offers, while accepting them both might hurt future offers, there was no lie or cheat involved: they were both offered by two casinos.

In your case you were offered one food comp. You lied so that you could get two food comps, one of which you converted to free play.

Guess some people are more at ease with lying and cheating as a way to save money rather than couponing.

Hey, Rob never said straight out that he wasn't a loser. In fact, if you read the first quote above, he never references himself as being one of "most people." He lets us figure things out for ourselves.

Eddie, if you knew how to utilize a brain you wouldn't have the need to struggle with this so much.

Couponing, two-fers, whining at slot clubs, dumpster diving, and buying those stupid LVA etc. "books of fabulous mind-blowing offers".....that's bottom of the barrel stuff. And if you go to LV to get one of those cheap buffets, good luck.

Mind blowing offers? Nah. Money savers? Sure.

Anyone paying full price for anything is getting ripped off. Watch the King of the Hill episode where Peggy buys a new car. She's gets a great deal and stupid Hank ruins it by paying "sticker price"

I'm with you on that jbjb. A lot of those offers are offered up as "loss leaders" designed to bring you into their casino. I likely would have never driven out to the Red Rock Casino, M Casino, Sam's Town or South Point if there wasn't some sort of promotion initially involved... free slot play, some sort of free gift or a buffet/meal promotion.

In the end, some people are able to rationalize in their own minds lying to casino employees in order to obtain extra food comps instead of using a promotion honestly. Many of those people are likely the ones who lie on their tax returns as well.

You are FAR from being a professional gambler... About advantage plays is ALL Bullshit...
    You're mainly a craps player at best you're 45% -55%....
Maybe your TV advertising business does well, I've been here a short while and in my opinion you're an arrogant blow hard...

Lonestar I am not a professional gambler. I'll ignore the rest of what you wrote.

You got me, Rob. I'm one of those sweaty palms quarter vp players who also occasionally bets $40 on the Super Bowl. Or did we forget the K again? Anyway, I'll be in LV next week to cash SB tickets. Would love to finally meet you in person. They did away with the piano bar at Bellagio, unfortunately, so maybe a parking garage. I'm always good with parking garages.

    blowhard
A blowhard is someone who always brags or boasts about himself. If you get stuck sitting next to your blowhard cousin at the family holiday dinner, you may wish he didn't think he was quite so amazing.
Blowhard is an informal word describing someone who can't stop talking about themselves or their accomplishments, real or imagined. You might know a blowhard at school, at work, or even in your family. And usually everyone knows at least one blowhard sports fan, who during the game can't stop talking about the unprecedented greatness of his favorite team or player...........if the shoe fits......Doesn't sound like Alan to me.
