Thread: Highlights of Las Vegas Trip

  1. #1
I thought I would share some highlights from this brief trip.

    1) WestGate SuperBook. It is everything the WestGate owner expected it to be. Looks to be the biggest sports book in the world. The giant video screen is bright and sharp and beautiful. The new bar is posh and classy. Up next for remodel is the deli in the back of the room, which has decent food.

    2) Buckwheat pancakes in the Palace Station cafe. I probably hadn't had buckwheat pancakes in 30 years -- had forgotten what they tasted like.

    3) A 6'5" gentleman in camouflage who took a half dozen steps, charged, and jumped at people outside of one casino. I thought he was yelling, "Pit Boss!" as he did this, but when I walked back the other way and encountered him again, I realized he was yelling "Pissed off!" He did not, by the way, jump and yell at me, for whatever reason.

    4) Golden Nugget downtown looks great. Constant remodeling and general redesign has made the place even more the clear class of downtown. It has some brand spanking new machines with video poker variations I have never seen.

    5) Wednesday was senior day at Boyd. I put 100 points through the machine, and received a free breakfast and free dinner buffet, plus 5X times points. Thumbs up for the coffee ice cream.

    6) Stop in Buffalo Bill's in Primm on the return. Buffalo Bill's has hijacked the furnishings from the Fountainebleau and refurbished a lot of rooms. No more garish cowboys and Indians adorning the walls in bright kindergarten colors. Very different. I salute them.

The Plaza also has furnishings from the Fontainebleau. I didn't know that Buffalo Bill's got some too.

What kind of different video poker did you see at Golden Nugget and are they new games that might show up elsewhere? If IGT I would expect they will.

The new machines I saw had jackpot gimmicks built into them. One had three wheels that spin for bonuses based on the quality of your starting hand -- a bronze, silver, and gold wheel. Another rolled a pair of virtual dice every so many hands as a way to provide a bonus multiplier. These were IGT machines.

The theme was clear -- shorting certain pay tables so as to provide the opportunity for very large jackpots along the way, transforming video poker into a slot style jackpot game.

Build a wheel poker and hot roll poker.

Yes -- that's them, plus some barnyard thing where cows and pigs give you bonuses.

Glad you had a nice trip, as you've read Coach Belly and his Man in the Mirror have been busy making up stories right after I started in on Alan... I did see it coming, especially since Coach Belly aka Lefty aka 1,000's of other names have been trolling me for years on various other forums...

What gave away "coach" was the day he highlighted my words on certain topics my friend in here alerted me of who he exactly was.... I kept putting bait out in the waters and low and behold he swallowed....

Let's see how this story unfolds

There are many more new gimmicks than that. Btw, barnyard is vulturable.

  8. #8
I thought it might be. I am way behind the times. I'm like George Bush, who thought scanners at supermarkets were really something.

  9. #9
Sounds more like Triple Wheel Poker.

Didn't Coach start posting here before Lonestar?

"Coach" is several other folks in here...

Well, now that we've established that "coach" is just a LoneStar fan, I feel much better and can ignore him. Arci will just have to overcome his tendency to correct untruths and ignore him, too.

As I hinted at in the content analysis thread, this forum is a bit infested. Best to ignore the roaches, even if they comprise half the population.

No other posters here have used the same IP addresses as Coach.

I could say that I'm not coach or that I don't send him posts or thoughts or vice-versa, if someone chooses not to believe something they won't believe it.

Maybe I should take a few pictures to prove it.

People use IP proxies, you can have 15-20 locations right from your home computer....

Lonestar, what happened to heeding my comments? seems like you upped the ante. What's your deal? why are you so confrontational and rude? what a waste of time being like that imo.

He outed himself when he started that runboard.com forum last week.

I found an older forum that he ran on runboard, learned the truth about him,
and then he closed everything down quickly after I posted the link.

    Without a doubt...he's mentally ill.

It's pathetic...there's no company, no children, no 7-stars, no travel...he made it all up...all of it.

He's a bumass horse handicapper and apparently a terrible one at that,
as he is the laughing stock of that community.

Here's a link to another handicapping forum where they talk about him quite a bit,
they call him "Petey" or "Pres" because his runboard.com user name is "Hesnotmypres"
