I have always converted my CET free play into "Reel Rewards" but am considering opting for non-negotiable chips the next time I visit. Are the CET chips "one use" or "bet until you lose them"? Also I expect free play for about $600. Do you know if I can break them down into $25 non-negotiable chips or am I stuck with higher denominations than I would like? Anyone's experience with CET promo chips would be appreciated.

It may have changed, but in my experience with CET promo chips, you can get them in $25 denominations, and they are "bet until you lose".

I did hear something about Rincon's promo chips being "one use", but it was a thirdhand report, so I'm not sure that was accurate.

My only experience has been at Caesars. In the past, whatever free play amount you have can be converted into only ten (10) free play vouchers. Each is good till you lose. If you had $500 of free play you'd get ten $50 vouchers.

Then about two years ago (maybe less) the rules changed at Caesars and free play vouchers for those getting at least $100 were limited to $100 vouchers. Example: I had $250 of free play and the cage would give me two $100 table vouchers plus $50 of slot coupons.

I don't know about other casinos in the Total Rewards system. I suggest calling in advance.

In general, Nevada CET properties are "play 'till you lose" and everywhere else in the United States is one use only.

For example, Harrah's and Harvey's Lake Tahoe/Harrah's Reno promo chips are oversize (48mm Paulsons) and "play 'till you lose" (they pay you in real casino chips).

Las Vegas, you get free bet vouchers, as Alan mentioned, and only 10 of them max. They are "play 'till you lose", I used mine to place the 6 and 8 in craps during a 2015 trip at Planet Hollywood, and I got paid $35 in real casino chips every time 6 or 8 hit.

Harrah's/Horseshoe Council Bluffs IA "free bets" are one use only (source: M. McVey on YouTube).

Harrah's Rincon/SoCal "free bets" are one use only (source: YouCanBetOnThat.com).

Atlantic City "Direct Bets" are one use only for all three casinos.

    Thanks, nerakil.

That would explain why my experiences (all in Nevada) were "play until you lose", while others report one use only from elsewhere in the country.

Anyone who regularly gets or uses coupons or promo chips for table games should read this.

If chips were "one use" chips outside of Nevada, who would opt for them over Reel Rewards?
