My animosity towards Alan is easy to explain he is a self promoting pig. Even Ray Charles could see this by reading his constant back patting ways.
Hopefully my replies quell the suspicion.
You PM'd me a name on the RX forum, but I don't know what the RX forum is. Please give me the URL.

Regarding Alan, he is the original founder of this site. It was created as an extension of his business, which is a TV show called Alan Best Buys. It eventually morphed into more of a gambling discussion site. As you probably know, he got tired of the drama here and sold it to me, so now I own it, and rebranded the site to vegascasinotalk. Alan still retains the Alan Best Buys business, and the main website for that still exists. Only the forum was sold to me.

Alan has made many thousands of posts here, and only a tiny percentage are promoting his articles. He has contributed more content to this site than anyone -- and I'm talking about real content, not self-promotion. If he wants to promote his articles as well, he has definitely earned that right, even if he doesn't own this place anymore.

Please do not troll or harass Alan anymore. If you disagree with his opinions and want to argue with him, that's fine. However, do not personally attack him anymore.

Dan, I'm not questioning whether you won in 2015 or not, nor how much. It's just one year, and I was referring to all the other years you said you lost playing for a 7-Stars card. And I'm not some rich guy. I'm nothing more than what I believe a normal, lifetime-responsible middle-class to upper middle-class person my age is experiencing. The problem here is--and it's probably my fault for divulging and teasing so much about myself and my family--is that I may APPEAR to be some kind of rich to a bunch of people who are slaves to video poker & gambling.

You can talk all day about the overcomped thing. Truth is, it won't convince anyone, and it's a darn good bet that most here feel they're sticking it to the slot clubs at least as much as you say you do.

If you truly are financially responsible as well as financially street-smart, you'd have married your girlfriend long ago. I know that gamblers think they get a lot more out of slot clubs by staying single (think Jean Scott & her longtime stud Brad) but if you understand the tax world you're throwing a lot of cash out the window every year...far more than individual slot club accounts could even begin to make up for.

And that all leads up to your constant need to report how you were wronged for $25 here and cheated out of twenty bucks there. I wish you wouldn't say such things. I can actually feel your non-stop chaos and conflict every time I cringe while reading them.

Could be I'm over-stepping, but no 7-Stars cardholder should be acting like that. You (I think) and others believe I'm cheap for not tipping handpays, cashiers, or change people. At least I have a reason and explained it. I can't get my hands around why some of CET's biggest machine players are so tight when it comes to discretionary spending.

I think that every time Dan reports how he got cheated or ripped off or missed a $25 item here or there it helps others who are NOT Seven Stars or Diamond players to become alert to what they might be missing or being cheated on.

In reality, $25 doesn't mean anything to Dan -- not when a push of a video poker button costs $25. What Dan is doing is providing a service to everyone, and I appreciate the information.

Even rich people don't want to be ripped off or jerked around over $25. Rich people didn't get rich letting others rip them off.

Non-rich people can't afford to get ripped off $25. So please keep the info coming Dan.

By the way, while my TV show promotes bargains do you know what the demographics are for my audience? High income and middle income, college educated, older, homeowners who are primarily Republicans. That's my TV show audience.

And when I visit my clients who have outlets -- what's in the parking lot? Mercedes, BMWs, Lexus, and lots of high end cars.

People with money look for bargains too.

By the way, if you want to see the demographics for my website check the independent web tracking company Quantcast. Here's the link and see for yourself how my website for BARGAINS attracts such a huge audience of wealthy people:

    https://www.quantcast.com/alanbestbu...mographicsCard

In particular note that my site attacts 139% of the average audience made up of households with family incomes of $150K or more. That is the top earnings demographic, by the way.

    WARNING

Out of habit I never click on links such as the one Hard Eight provided above. Instead, I typed in the web address directly into my browser. I got a warning message.

I am not going to click on Hard Eight's link for rxforum. I am no longer a moderator so I cannot look at his post to see what his link is and if it links to what he says it does, or, to something else.

I posted the wrong link, I apologize. The proper one is www.therxforum.com
I have it saved and assumed it was RXForum.com

The rich are usually frugal. Jack Bogle of Vanguard investments comes to mind, he still requires his staff to fly coach and split hotel and taxi cost when traveling. Warren Buffett lives in the house he bought in 1958 and only draws a $100K salary. I invest with both. I get a kick out of the rubes in Las Vegas trying to be a whale for a day by throwing around money trying to impress the other rubes.

Old Wise Jungle saying: There is no such thing as "discretionary spending."

Rob, you may not be considered one of The Three Wise Men when it comes to giving financial advice. If you're going to wax eloquent on what others should be doing with money, best to post some shots of those MBA degrees rather than a house in Phoenix.
