Thread: Total Rewards Question

  1. #1
I just made Seven Stars for the first time in 2015 and now I have attractive offers from various properties around the country. Since the video poker at the Las Vegas properties is a joke I plan on taking advantage of the offers there but not giving them any play. I do plan on continuing to play at properties with decent video poker outside of Las Vegas. Will stiffing the Las Vegas properties impact my future offers at the non-Vegas properties?

  2. #2
The properties you play at will give you offers based on your play. You might still get future offers from Vegas but they will be minimal if there is no play.

I have found what I do or don't do in Vegas no bearing on the offers I receive from other CET properties. I only visit Vegas once a year, and use every comp/credit/voucher they send me while I'm there. All the while giving them minimum play, because we go to Vegas for the food and shows and the paytables suck. Most of our play and visits are made at Harrah's/Harvey's lake tahoe and I get stacks of offers from them.

Not giving them any play will certainly impact the offers you receive from Vegas, but not from the other Casinos you are spending your money at. It's all CET.

    Hi jj5957

I cannot give any further insight on whether stiffing Vegas will hurt your non-Vegas comps, but as a new Seven Stars member there are a few things you can take advantage of Vegas for the first time for no extra fee, even if you decide to give minimal play. I would suggest you and a companion try the Qua Spa at Ceasars Palace (triple pools -- warm, hot and cold), get better seats for the monthly free shows, free daily in-room movie daily, CP Augustus entrance valet.

Thanks for the replies! I'm a Las Vegas local so I don't really need the rooms but they are nice to have to accommodate guests from out of town. My wife is Seven Stars also so we have a lot of offers.

What Caesars property is your dominant one? Since you're a Las Vegas local I'm assuming it's a property there. Do you travel around to many other Caesars properties, thus your other wonderful offers. I have many other questions to ask but let's start here.

I don't know anything about Seven Stars, but if you can access the spa at Caesars on a regular basis, I envy you. FAB, do you know what spa benefits a Seven Stars member can get?

I'd put that baby on the top of my list of to-dos.

    HardEight,

My property is Harrah's Tahoe and my wife's is Harrah's Laughlin. I rarely play at Las Vegas CET properties since the video poker is so bad.

We each did ten Diamond in a Day last year to get Seven Stars. I seven Harrah's Tahoe, two Harrah's Laughlin, and one Harrah's Rincon. Despite the heavier play in Tahoe my offers in Laughlin are far better.

Thanks FAB about the Qua Spa. I didn't know about that since it isn't listed on http://www.sevenstarsinsider.com/sev...sino-by-casino.

    Hi Redietz:

I can only tell you based on my personal experience in Ceasars Palace. Seven Stars gets a complimentary locker and a passport for the following for themselves and a companion. I check in and get a written pass from the attendants just outside the Salon at Ceasars Palace. This is a snapshot of the Qua menu:

    Name: Qua photo.jpg
Views: 695
Size: 120.0 KB

As you can see, if you are a CET hotel guest or even a Ceasars Palace guest, you usually have to pay a surcharge for the Qua spa.

With this passport, I usually ask for a free toothbrush and razor, then change out of my clothes and put on a robe and slippers they give me. I then like to go to the "tea room" and get some juices and fruit and watch some sports on the TV. Don't miss the pineapple and cranberry juice cans in the refrigerator below the coffee dispensers. I then like to go the large "triple pool" room where there is a large warm pool, a hot Jacuzzi, and a cold pool. After I go through the pools, I like to relax on the warm tile couches in the triple pool room (aka Laconium for those who studied Latin as I did in high school). I can usually see some guys sleeping off a hangover in the morning. I then go through the saunas, hot and/or moist, then shave in the moist shaving room. I then cool off in the chilly room, and end with a shower.

Sometimes I change into gym gear at the locker room and then do a workout prior to the baths.

Notably, however, any massages, haircuts or treatments are NOT included. That costs extra.

I particularly like this ritual when I am with my son (he is over 18) and we get some down time together hanging out for free.

The other time I particularly like these rituals is when I have lost more than I should have and can chill out before I hit the tables again. It is like taking a break at a Diamond Lounge but to me more exclusive and with no alcohol.

Even when I stay at other hotels like Planet Hollywood, I like to visit the Qua spa.

Vegas to Tahoe is a bit of a trek, Laughlin not so much. I'm surprised you're getting big offers from other properties when you haven't played there all that much.
So you each got 5,000 tier credits in a day to make diamond?
    I wish you well.

Yes, 5,000 tier credits ($50,000 coin in) in a day to make diamond. When we first made diamond we received offers from properties where we had never played (Rincon, Vegas, Biloxi). Other than Rincon we never took advantage of any of the offers. Now that we'r e Seven Stars the offers have improved to the point where we can't ignore them any more. We also now get offers for free flights from Vegas to Reno so if we wanted to play more often in Reno/Tahoe the travel costs aren't as much of a factor. Unfortunately the free play offers from Harrah's Tahoe ($75/month) aren't very good. When it's really hot in Vegas in July/August a trip to Tahoe will sound better.

You state you're a Las Vegas local why don't you play any Vegas properties? One other thing I find odd is your home property is Tahoe yet you're only getting $75 a month. But you're getting bigger offers from places you've never gone to.
Math is simple 4+4= 8 the math you're telling us just doesn't add up.

I only play at places with decent video poker in Las Vegas. There are plenty of choices in non-CET properties. Yes, I get better offers in Vegas where I have never played than in Tahoe where I have done seven 5,000 tier credit sessions.

Won't debate with you, but your story is like swiss cheese.

You should know that many here believe that -2 + -2 = +34. In other words, they don't believe in math.

All these theories on machines you can "beat" is all garbage. Every person who plays slots should expect to lose. How you manage your bankroll makes or breaks you.

The only reason I can think of that your wife gets better freeplay at Laughlin than you do at Tahoe is because she plays slots and you play video poker. Stiffing Vegas will only effect you at the Vegas properties so if you don't plan on playing there it's no big deal. You will still get the qua spa and the diamond lounge visits and the free shows. Offers at the non Vegas properties will be effected by your play there and will not be impacted at all by your play at Vegas or by your play at any other CET property. You do have a national brand MDV but each property has an individual MDV which is used to calculate freeplay and other offers they extend to you.

It appears that jj5957 ran out of steam so to say. What he wrote & what is reality are two totally different equations.

    HardEight,

I got my question answered and it looks like there is no chance of an intelligent conversion with you so I'm done for now.

Offers that you get in the mail from "new properties" don't necessarily reflect your actual play. I get mailers all the time from the Caesars property in Tahoe and they have ranged from $200 to $500 and I've never been there.

I've received mailers for New Orleans for $500 of free play and I've never been there either. I think these are nothing more than lures and once they hook you the future offers will depend on your actual play.

As Dan Druff has pointed out many times being a Seven Stars player does not entitle you to any free play offers -- only free rooms and travel and comps if an annual trip or such. If you are getting free play offers anywhere they are giving them to you because of what you have played somewhere else and what they hope you will play when you get to the new property.

I just got a slight increase in free play offers for March and April -- now at $500. Earlier this year it was $250 free play. About a year ago I was getting as much as $2500 per trip but then Caesars tightened up and when they did I tightened up.
