Thread: Best Caesars Vegas Casino for Comps

  1. #1
It looks like a trip is my future, and, unless they're all about the same, I want to choose the most generous casino in the Caesars list, since I will likely be doing the most place where I stay. Is there one that stands out above the rest for sending offers to out-of-staters after play? If it's somewhere that has a dreadful hotel then we'll considering staying one place and doing a lot of play at the other... any suggestions? thanks in advance!

I dont think one single trip to any casino is going to generate substantial future offers.

But for a single casino to visit to earn points and reward credits, I would suggest Rincon in San Diego because you can still find 8/5 Bonus and 8/5 Aces and Faces video poker at $10 per tier point, and they do have bounce back money that will come two months later. Whether or not you earn any mailers after one trip is questionable. But you can at least get the max value on video poker play.

I dont suggest Rincon for anything else. It's certainly not Vegas. It is not a luxury hotel, and any Southern Cal entertainment is at least a 90 minute drive from Rincon.

If you go to Vegas, Caesars has 8/5 Bonus video poker but its $25 per tier point. You will find 7/5 Bonus for $10 per tier point. Since I don't play for points, I would rather be at Caesars than at Rincon for a casino trip.

Offers will probably vary based on your game and play level. Also they track your non gaming spend like restaurants if you use your players card and that goes into comp offers.

If you play $500 total budget, then probably don't expect much. If you play +10K, then contact a host before you go and see if they want to "help".

    Doesn't matter.

They issue comps by market, not by property.

Play at any Caesars Vegas casino will earn you identical offers and comps as you would if you played in any other Caesars Vegas casino.

It's from market to market where comps differ.

Just curious... what games are you planning to play?

I play JoB but will play any video poker game with a decent (doesn't even have to be good) progressive. Are there any of those around Vegas?

I was thinking of going for 5000 points in one day for Diamond, hoping that would be enough for a return trip offer. This trip is comped except airfare, with free hotel and some dining.

edited -- Oh, and I will play a little on slots. Nothing substantial point wise though...

It's anyone's guess if you will get a return trip offer. I don't know. But I can tell you this. I have a friend in Miami who came to Caesars about two years ago with comped hotel, and airfare paid, and lost $75,000 in a weekend and never received an offer after that.

    YIKES, lol

Must have been Caesars' version of a "hit and run".

The longer your friend played, the closer he would come to EV,
since all play is one long session, with temporary breaks.

Why send him an offer...just so he can mount a comeback and get closer to EV?

Sounds like Caesars quit while ahead on this guy.

I suspect there's more to this than Alan is telling.

Well there is. My friend actually combined two trips with double airfare.

First they flew to Binions in downtown, lost about $25,000 there and collected airfare reimbursement after a three night stay, then took a Caesars limo to Caesars and dropped another $75,000 there and got the airfare reimbursement.

Neither hotel sent another offer. He played blackjack.

Are you asking me about my friend? Frankly, I don't know. But he is a known gambler and he had a host who had set up the comped trips and free airfare at both casinos. I think at his level of play it didn't matter if he had a "card" or not. I am sure they tracked his action. He wouldn't have gotten the offers if he hadn't been tracked before, so I guess he did have a card.

Even at Caesars, losing $75,000 stands out in two days.

By the way, he got the offers in Vegas because of heavy play at the Florida casinos.

As RS_ said, there has to be more to the story.

If Caesars tracked this guy's play, absolutely positively he will get offers -- and good offers.

So either one of three things happened:

    1) Your friend isn't telling the truth about something.
    -or-
    2) Your friend never got a TR card, and no one ever entered him in the computer. It kind of sounds like he was offered the trip through a junket, so it's possible all of this got lost and he never ended up in their system. As far as I know, they do not have a way to track players currently without assigning them a TR card. Yes, HUGE HUGE whales who refuse to get a card are tracked by hosts, but this has to be done manually. Even losing $75k, he probably doesn't quite make that level.
    -or-
    3) The offers are being sent and getting lost somehow. For example, maybe his address was entered incorrectly into the system.

But there is ZERO chance that Caesars would enter him in the system and not offer him anything, given these circumstances.

Since he is a BJ player maybe he was reported as a card counter and they did not want his acrion

Good guess, but likely not the case.

    Why?

Because, believe it or not, card counters still receive offers from casinos even after being caught!

(In fact, there was a controversy a few years ago when a guy who kept getting offers kept returning to CET properties despite being barred, and he kept claiming the offers superseded his barring. This was despite CET clarifying to him multiple times that the barring was not erased by the computer sending him offers. I thought the guy was full of crap, though, and was causing all of his own problems.)

Anyway, the only way your theory could be correct would be if they decided he was a card counter, and decided not to enter him into the system.

That is, he showed up, played, and they zeroed his action at the end because they suspected he counted.

But that's not likely. They will almost always bar you first before zeroing your action, and in fact I've never even heard of people's action being zeroed, since a barring supersedes it.

There is no good Jacks or Better machine in Vegas where you will earn one tier credit per $10 wagered.

They do have 9-6 JoB at Caesars, but that only gives you one tier per $25 wagered.

The best you will find is a 9-5 JoB with "Double Super Times Pay" at Planet Hollywood. It's in the High Limit Room. It's a 3/5/10 play machine, and it returns 98.95% with perfect play, though there is a lot of variance. As it's Double Super Times Pay, it's 7 credits per hand, meaning even a 3-play will be $21 per hand.

If you do 3-play, it will take about 2.5 hours on average to earn 2500 tiers, and about 5 hours to earn 5000 tiers.

Please be aware that Diamond will not get you better offers than being Gold or Platinum. Your offers are play-dependent, NOT tier level dependent. However, you should see some decent offers for Vegas a few months after you play, though nothing worth flying all the way out to redeem.

I want to return to Vegas in September for a trade show. Perhaps there are other casinos that I could play at instead of a CET property (which is what I meant, sorry if I was confusing it with Caesars Hotel itself). The last time I was there was 2012 and I played a couple hours $1 JoB at the poker bar at Treasure Island and they sent good offers... maybe I should just ask: what Casino is likely to send me free rooms and at least some play in September for a little play in late May? The return on the JoB isn't that big of a deal to me. For these purposes I'm not worried about my EV.

I'm Diamond already, and looking to renew sometime this year -- so if the Vegas market isn't great for giving offers based on the level of play to get there in one day, are there other markets you recommend? My local area (Gulf Coast/New Orleans) excluded? Thanks in Advance!

Here is a list of almost all of the CET markets and the VP offered there:

    http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...-around-the-US

You can browse the video poker offered at Vegas properties in general here: http://www.vpfree2.com/casinos/by-region/las-vegas.html

Most major strip casinos will send you some kind of reasonable offer if you play middle-limit video poker ($1-$5 per credit) for $10,000 coin-in or so. There's no magic number here, but in general that will trigger offers about 2-3 months later.

You will typically get much better offers if you sign up for a new card and play right away, without staying at that property. Once you already have a history with that property (or that property's ownership group), the offers aren't as good.
