Thread: MGM MLife now has a Credit Card Program

  1. #1
Many are already familiar with the Caesar's Entertainment Total Rewards VISA card to earn Reward Credits from everyday spending to use when they arrive at a resort.

Recently, MGM Resorts MLife Players Club has brought to the market their new Mastercard credit card system to compete with one of their top rival casino chain. It not only helps a MLife player earn comp points from every day spending to use at a resort in their future visit, but it also boosts the tier credit status as well.

Earn 3 points and 3 Tier Credits per $1 spent at M life Rewards Destinations

Earn 2 points and 2 Tier Credits per $1 spent at gas stations and supermarkets

Earn 1 point and 1 Tier Credit per $1 spent everywhere else

Intro Promo: 10,000 POINTS WHEN YOU SPEND $1,000 IN FIRST 3 BILLING CYCLES

Automatic Upgrade to Pearl Level Status

Priority Hotel Check-in at M life Resorts
One of the biggest key perks to take notice is the automatic upgrade to Pearl tier status, (Total Rewards VISA has an automatic Platinum tier status on their Total Rewards card). With MGM Resorts now charging people for self-parking, the significance of being in Pearl status is that the fee is waived. Gold tier status is needed for complimentary valet parking though.

At the MGM Resorts in Vegas, when paying with your own money (not comped from play) for a service, a Cirque du Soliel show, food & drinks at food outlets, or gifts at their shops. Be sure to present your MLife card to get 25 Tier Credits for every dollar spent, and pay with the card to get 3 more Tier Credits for every dollar spent.

Just wanted to point out that you don't need an existing MLife card to do this.

You can sign up for an MLife card online at mlife.com, and then sign up for the credit card.

What does this mean? With MGM Resorts now charging people for self-parking, the significance of being in Pearl status is that the fee is waived. Gold tier status is needed for complimentary valet parking though.

Are you saying that they now charge for cars that are self-parked unless you're Pearl or higher? WTF?? And do you mean that there's some sort of charge for valet parking unless you're Gold or higher? There goes their tips. What do they charge? When did this start? And for those of you who don't want to understand what this seems to be saying, the higher up you go in status the more you are likely losing. Pretty slick on MGM's part. Make more profit from the cheapskates, and make more money from the bigger players who don't want to be caught dead paying for parking.

    Rob - pretty much, yeah.

What're you saying about tips? You wouldn't tip them anyway.

Rob tips valets. I've seen him.

I have spoken to several supervisors at MGM casinos who say they have seen an impact from the parking charges. One poker room supervisor told me he has seen a drop in local traffic even though locals get free self parking till December. All supervisors told me they are getting complaints.

There are far better general rewards cards out there than MLife.

Google it and you'll find them.

Only reason to have MLife card is to get the automatic Pearl status for the free parking.
