Thread: Where'd All The Heavy Hitters Go?

  1. #1
Any reason all those who hit giant jackpots on vp or slots at Rincon or at CET's in LV aren't posting pictures any more? No, I'm not expecting penny-pitchers like eddie or arci or spock to throw up a big one. And redietz you're automatically off the hook unless you want to show us a pic of your beer gut. But how about Alan with all his $5 and above play? Or where's some more from chimp that are attractive as she is?

If you're like me, you tire from the boring talk about the WSOP, where every year some nobody from nowhere seems to win the stupid waste-of-time-and-life thing. And these people don't post pics anyway. They'd rather tell "stories".

So let's have it rollers. Put 'em up and save this board!

What are you talking about Rob? Mr. Mendelson just hit this beauty in Vegas last week!

I'm so pleased that Rob has become my personal trainer. If he's as good a trainer as he is a VP player, I'll be in stellar shape in just a couple of weeks.

I'll post my daily workouts here for the rest of the month. Thanks to Rob for helping me out. My starting weight is 182. I'm 5 feet 11 3/4 inches tall.

More stories red. Last report you said you were 10-12# overweight, and at your age we all know that's pure belly fat.

Must have missed that big hit Alan got. It was probably while on a business trip, right?.

I am 10-12 pounds overweight, Rob, and --contrary to some opinions -- it isn't in my ears. So I will use your coaching as a springboard to drop those pounds. I'll report tomorrow's first workout as soon as it's completed. I appreciate your concern vis-a-vis my gullet and will endeavor to make you proud!

I don't play much video poker. I mostly play craps. I was at Caesars on Friday night and played a little $1 video poker at 7/5 Bonus. I hit my first royal since the October royal at Bellagio. This $1 royal was dealt. I will post a photo when I get back home.

Ironically my Bellagio royal was dealt. So far in my life I've had four dealt royals including the dealt royal on a 50 play machine at Mandalay Bay.

Holy crap......I haven't even gotten ONE dealt RF....ever. Gotta start playing the $10 50-play STP @ Caesars, I'm due!

    But seriously....WTF? :-(

Photo of my dealt $1 royal at Caesars on a 7/5 Bonus game. My last royal before this one was at Bellagio in October of last year and it was also a dealt royal. Yes, the royal locked up immediately and I didn't have to push any buttons -- and this also happened with dealt royals at Bellagio, Rincon and Mandalay Bay.

Congrats. I have never gotten a dealt Royal.

Like many others I still have not had a dealt royal. I take that back I have had one in a practice session over at videopoker.com. And I have played many times over the 600,000 hands you are supposed to go between being dealt a royal. Congrats Alan on your fourth one and your second one in less than a year. So I take it you are not going to claim the $200,000 jackpot you were given credit for in an earlier post?

Hi seemoreroyals, I was just needling Mr. Singer with that photo; the $200K jackpot actually belongs to Paul Newey.

How was your trip to Lake Tahoe last week? Any good VP hits?

I had the worst trip I have ever had there gambling wise. Could not hit anything. Played at both Harvey's and Harrah's with no luck. Same great paytables, best still available at any CET destination that I know of, but never able to take advantage. Wife had nice handpay in HLR at Harrah's playing a Triple Strike $5 slot machine that fortunately put us at breakeven for the trip. And even though we were not there for the 7 star event we were able to sneak into both the wine and cheese event and the farewell brunch. Many of the 7 stars that were there were disappointed because both the Gondola event and the Tahoe Queen event that were scheduled were cancelled due to high winds in the area.

We are doing our 7 star event at Vegas this year mainly because events are much better. Not looking forward to the heat there in August but we are looking forward to the Mariah Carey concert, the Sterling Brunch, the Hoover Dam Jeep event, and the go cart races. Will you be doing your 7 star event there this year?

Yes, I remember seeing that hit by sassycat over on the JW. A nice dollar royal payout (close enough!) to us VP players!

Glad to hear all the good paytable games are still in place. Planning on being back to Tahoe to renew next January. For this year's retreat, I will be taking a trip to Omaha/Harrah's Council Bluffs to watch the Olympic Swimming Trials.

I'll be in AC for the Signature Event starting this Thursday. Should be a great time, with 8X RCs on full-pay video poker and a round of golf on Friday.

We started to do AC but we have already seen Smokey Robinson before. He was still quite good btw when we saw him a year or two ago. Nothing definite yet but we are thinking about a trip to AC in either Sept or Oct. We have always stayed at Caesar's but are considering Harrah's for a change. Have you stayed at both and if so which one do you like better?

If you stay at Harrah's Resort, they'll likely put you in the nicer towers (Waterfront and Bayview suites). Problem is, it's a mile walk to the high limit room and the hotel elevators take a while. You've stayed at Caesars AC before (Ocean Tower, I assume or Centurion), so you know that the elevators drop you right in front of the HL room and the first floor of the casino.

I would give Harrah's Resort a try if you've never stayed there, but maybe request the Atrium Suites if you like to be closer to the gaming floor.

We have stayed at both Ocean and Centurion Tower before and we like the one where the elevator drops you off right next to the HLR. If we end up staying at Harrah's I will be sure and ask for an Atrium Suite. Thanks for the tip.

Love the dealt royal Alan, but don't you realize you are supposed to LOSE on 7/5 BP machines? Oh I get the "AP" story now. If you are not yet behind, you WILL get behind sometime down the road. Gee....only 2% more and you'd never have to face such a fate!

He's admitted to being a lifetime loser (no offense Alan) at VP. Keep trying Rob ;-)

Of course I am a lifetime loser. Of course I am a lifetime loser. Of course I am a lifetime loser.

I said that three times. For each of the three ex wives.
