Thread: The Lines, They Are A-Changin'

    With apologies to Bob Dylan.

I thought I'd report this, as it was unusual enough to merit a raise of both eyebrows.

Today, I saw, in the span of 20 seconds, the UNC vs. Virginia line jump from 9 to 11 1/2. Twenty seconds.

That is highly unusual, to say the least. We live in a time when fluidity and reacting in the moment are almost as important as having an intimate knowledge of who can do what to whom.

I hope you were able to benefit from the jump.

No -- it cost me. I was about to play a teaser with UNC, and when the line jumped, I backed off. I would have been laying 4 1/2 instead of 2, so I didn't do it. I really didn't know where the line would go on this game, so I was waiting. I waited too long, and it cost me a winner.
