Thread: Will be going to Tahoe soon, are the VP games still good there?

Just want to make sure I don't waste my trip.

Do they still have the same good JoB games at $1/$2/$5 levels? Has anything changed in the past year?

When we were last there in October they were still the same. There was 8/5 BP everywhere quarter and up. 9/6 JOB $1 and up in both HLR's. 9/6 DDB $1 and up as well in both HLR's and scatted throughout both casino floors. I am sure it is only a matter of time before they are downgraded but I have been thinking that every year. As far as I know the VP at both Harrah's and Harvey's is still pretty decent.

I was at Tahoe three weeks ago. I found no changes to the JoB VP games at the levels you ask about. Still $10 per tier credit for VP. Tahoe remains a VP oasis in the CET wasteland.

And I will be in South Lake Tahoe in two weeks. I will be happy to provide an inventory update along with possible upcoming January 2017 promotions at Harrah's/Harveys.

Just got back from a 3 day snowboarding trip to Lake Tahoe, stayed at Harrahs. It remains my favorite CET property (mainly because it's right next door to Heavenly), but also because it's one of the most beautiful areas of the country.

I evenly split my play between quarter 8/5 BP and quarter 9/5 DDB. I Hit AWAK on DDB twice to give me a decent profit for the trip. No royals. I did't go near the HL room and wasn't really looking at any level over 25 cents, but I'm assuming all the other payouts remain the same.

Fridays station remains an excellent steakhouse. We had a great filet there and American River Cafe still has a good breakfast. Took a walk through Montbleu, I was there years ago when it was Caesars and hit my first royal. Layout is the same as then and it had a good crowd. May give it some play next time.

For the fixed income crowd, no indications that Harrahs or Harveys are going to charge for parking. I asked one of the suits walking around about it and he said the paid parking is strictly a Vegas deal and should not filter down to Tahoe.

As of today, December 11, 2016, I can confirm that all the good video poker machines are still available at Harrah's/Harveys Lake Tahoe, offering full tier credits.

Please note that if you play the Fifty Play 25c/50c/$1/$2 machine, you must bet a minimum of $10.00 at Harrah's and $12.50 at Harveys.

Also, for Seven Stars members, be sure to pick up your two Heavenly lift tickets from Total Rewards/Cashier Center.

Good luck Nerakil. Hope you get a couple of royals while you are there. Sorry to hear that you are confirming that the complimentary 7 star lift tickets have been cut from 4 to 2.

Thanks for the feedback Nerakil. I see the pass is valid for the 16/17 "Winter Season." Do you know when it expires? When they had handed out 4 annual ski passes for 7 Stars, I like to use some on the Heavenly Gondola during the summer. I wonder if the time frame now precludes using this ski pass for summertime.

If anyone is in Tahoe and doesn't need their 2 free lift tickets, can you please pick them up anyway?

Many members of this board (including me) would love to make use of them.

    How was the snow?
