Did they tell you how many points you had after the 15 minutes, or does it update on your phone?
They say it can take up to 10 days before badges update.

I was able to go to the TR desk and ask how many table points I'd earned. They had it immediately (this was at Planet Hollywood, where the dealer themselves plug in the buy-in and swipes your card).

    Dan,

Does sports betting count towards table games? Do poker tournaments? Is there any particular way to verify it one way or the other? The problem I've had in the past with CET properties is I get different responses to the same question at the same property depending on shift, and I get different responses property to property.

If sports betting counts (no matter the conversion rate), I'd do this since it's not a reach to spend that much on food, shows, and rooms in that time. I can't see spending much on spa (maybe $100), and I do not golf. Hey wait, I wear golf shirts and slacks. I could see spending a few bucks on clothing in the golf shop, if that were to count as "golf."

One of my friends is doing the "buy and return" thing with the shopping part and spa part. I'm not sure if that will work, but I imagine it probably will, provided you return the stuff after being awarded the points. CET is so poorly run that I can't see them thinking about this "hole" in their promotion. Besides, it's just tier credits being awarded, as opposed to RCs, so they probably don't care too much.

Not sure about the sports betting.

I do not believe it counts, though. And poker doesn't seem to count, as I've already spent over $15,000 on WSOP buyins, and I do not have any Rio gaming badge.

I doubt you will see anything of substance for poker play simply because you're not playing against the casino. What do you get for poker room activity? Is it one point per hour?

FYI - make sure your bet is getting rated properly. It took me over an hour of $25-50 bets at Cromwell to get 25 TCs because they were rating me at the $10 table minimum

For those looking to optimally earn Diamond in 2017, you only need the number of badges which will get you to a multiple of 2500 tier credits.

If I were looking to earn Diamond in 2017, let's say I had 800 tier credits today.

I would only need to earn 4200 tier credits to get me to 5000 (a multiple of 2500), as anything beyond that would be mostly wasted, unless they got me to 7500.

So 4200 tier credits would be 21 badges. Since I would likely be getting at least 2 badges (maybe 3) from my hotel stays (apparently comps count), that would take me to 18-19 badges.

So I would figure out how much I'm likely to spend on food (though I don't think comps count there -- or at least they haven't for me), and then earn the remaining badges from gaming -- probably visiting only 6 of the properties.

Just confirmed with the TR desk that the badge awards do NOT stack with the daily bonus.

Thanks. I probably misunderstood your original question.

Badge quest tier credits are awarded entirely in a lump sum on one specific day during the first half of September. If for example, you earned 25 badges, you would receive 5000 tier credits.

The special award does not trigger a daily bonus, so in that sense, no, they don't stack. It's mentioned at the bottom of the detailed rules:

"12. Tier Credit Bonuses earned pursuant to this Offer do not count toward Reward Credit balance, promotional Tier Credit earnings or qualifying for a Daily Tier Credit Bonus."

I have a question and know nothing about the CET system, as generally I make sports bets at CET and that is it. But I did get an email offer for 4X Credit Rewards today, so I opted in. Are you usually allowed to do promos that overlap -- will spending money on hotel, shows, and so on get me my 4X rewards credits while also counting towards the merit badge stuff?

I believe the answer is yes, and note also that the "4x more" is really a 5x multiplier.

Casinos have varying procedures for handling overlapped promos. On a point multiplier day, usually only base points will count toward other promotions. If it's possible to qualify for two different multipliers, usually only the higher multiplier will be applied.
