Yes. It took almost a year. I once took the local side roads to see what the fuss was about. I saw two construction workers. I visited again and also saw two workers. They rebuilt that bridge. People don't realize it's a bridge.

Yeah, that was a major pain in the ass for anyone who goes to Vegas from Lancaster, Palmdale, Ventura County, Santa Clarita, and the northwest San Fernando Valley.

I missed the reopening by about a week. When I detoured through Phelan, snow fell (real snow that stuck), and my son got to experience such a thing for the first time in his life. So that was at least a small positive.
