Thread: Seven Stars Signature Event does not include Caesars Palace

  1. #1
My invitation for this Summer's 7 Stars Signature Event does not include Caesars Palace. Is it just me? I forwarded the invitation to my host who is also surprised and forwarded it to the department director.

Frankly, I have no interest in staying at any other property in Vegas.

I noticed also that Paris was not listed. That is my preferred hotel. Not that I plan on going to an Event.

Why would they do that? What do they possibly save? Is it a way to funnel more gambling handle to the lower end properties for some reason?

As you guys know, I do not like CET, but I have always liked Caesars Palace, and Paris is my second favorite CET property. Any place that has Cook E. Jarr as a lounge act will get my business.

They just can't get the signature events right.

Remember in 2014 when they offered no freeplay (or a very low amount) associated with the Vegas event, and yet people had other offers for good freeplay (like $500 or more) at the same time?

They would e-mail hosts saying, "I want to attend the Vegas signature event, but not at the expense of the freeplay I was offered, so can I combined both?", and the answer was NO, even to high rollers.

After a lot of uproar and a lot of uncomfortable hosts, the order finally came down that, yes, on this one time basis, they could combine the signature event and a regular offer.

This exception was only made after hosts made it clear that the attendance at the signature event was going to be embarrassingly low due to the discrepancy between the freeplay offer value and the signature event value.

Now they're excluding Caesars and Paris from those attending? LOL

BTW on a side note, I had this exact thing happen to me in 2014. I could not stay in Caesars for the signature event, even though I could book Caesars normally as a Seven Stars (but then not be able to attend the signature event!) When the "combine offers" decision was handed down, this fixed it for me.

    So ridiculous.

I am guessing there are too many Seven Stars and they are afraid Caesars will be overwhelmed, and perhaps they will be forced to put Seven Stars in inferior towers at Caesars, so they are just avoiding the whole headache by not offering Caesars to a lot of people.

    Really weak.

Do you think this may go back to your "over-comped" argument and now CET is simply leveling the playing field? Seems strange that suddenly the wind is against you at CET.

It looks like a blanket policy first reported by Alan, who is certainly not overcomped.

Yes, but it seems Dan has lost his "overcomped" mojo lately.

Mine has The LINQ Hotel & Casino, Flamingo, Bally's, Harrah's or Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. While I've played a little at all CET locations in Vegas, I've never stayed anywhere but Caesars. And while I'm not as undercomped as Alan I am definitely undercomped. I wasn't planning to attend this anyway.

I wonder if they've perhaps saved Caesars as an option for Seven Stars who have not been to Vegas before.
