Thread: Betting on Trump Impeachment?

  1. #1
Is this bet available in Vegas? Saw this today:

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Bookmakers William Hill say its current market on the outcome of speculation that Donald Trump may be impeached has proved its most popular current betting market regarding the President.

Hills currently offer odds of 5/4 (a 44% chance) that President Trump will not be impeached during his first term; 2/1 that he will be impeached, but found not guilty; 2/1 that he will be impeached, and found guilty.

"Speculation about a possible Trump impeachment has now overtaken our market about whether he will or will not build 'the wall' (5/4 that he will) as the most popular Presidential betting proposition we currently have on offer," said William Hill Media Relations Director Graham Sharpe.

Aren't these the same left wing bookmakers that favored Shillary to win the election by 80%. These morons set the odds and the moronic left wing idiots jump on the train with hope.

When you got nothing left in your bag of tricks, might as well gamble on your stupid views.

The libtards are still in denial that their dishonest candidate lost the election, which in turn leads to these type of last-gasp stories. And in the process, they keep forgetting that Republicans own the House AND the Senate, which renders these headlines obsolete the minute they're printed.

The liberal media was rightfully lambasted & scolded yesterday by Trump in a manner never before seen in history. They are so deeply hurt by Trump's electoral stomping of witch Hillary that the only way they can cope is by publishing lies, fake headlines, and feel-good but meaningless stories like this one.

The part I enjoy about all this is in watching all the libs and their silly protests, where they run around like idiots crying and whining because they've been unable to "get over it". They somehow think the disruption, the destruction, and the attention they cause actually does or means anything at all--or changes the things Trump is doing or will do.

There's a reason conservatives never waste time turning over cars or burning property or throw rocks and bottles at police when lying racists like Obama get the presidency: they're not gay activists who want to think the world owes them anything for their weird choice, they're not strange confused atheists, they don't pride themselves because they live a life of collecting entitlements & government handouts....and they have something called JOBS!

Impeachment? It might be a word that gives false comfort to the millions of foreigners, minorities, illegals, oddballs, and America-haters who litter flakey California and it might make for interesting agenda-advertising by liberal lines makers. But that kind of wishful thinking has no real meaning to the world we actually reside in.

I don't think the Vegas books are allowed to offer political bets, although I've seen entertainment betting, with odds posted for the Academy Awards. I guess it's debatable whether this should be considered politics or entertainment.

Hills currently offer odds of 5/4 (a 44% chance)
There's a substantial vig built into those odds. I wouldn't risk money on my opinion, but historically only 2 presidents have been impeached, so I think it's very unlikely that Trump will be the 3rd. The top priority of any politician is to remain a politician.

It's the English books that are taking most of the action on Impeachment. And they are just taking advantage of the situation to make some money. Trump impeachment threads started popping up in forums the moment he got elected and they still continue to garner activity. Race hustler Al Sharpton just called for Trumps impeachment over the Michael Flynn affair. It's just pure wishful thinking by liberals.

Blackhole, what the hell is a "left wing bookmaker?" I've been doing this for 40 years, and I'm not sure that I've ever met one. Clearly you didn't follow the election odds trail, as there was a ton of money to be made. Usually you have some kind of cogent cynicism, which is to be commended, but you just displayed something approaching zero knowledge of how bookmaking works.

And, in case nobody has informed you, games of opinion are probably the best games to play. The house doesn't necessarily have an edge.

I would have thought blackhole would demonstrate a little more savvy. Did somebody hijack the name?

So I take it Rob will be accepting impeachment bets and offering better odds than William Hill?

I never asked my bookmaker when he was threatening to break my kneecaps whether he believed in gay rights or free speech or any of those crazy liberal things.

So Redietz, it is possible that all of the bookies are "left wing".

The bookies don't set the line on what they think will happen. They set the line on what they think the public thinks will happen.

A common practice towards winners. Compare this to "Hissing Cockroach" Tom Brady- as per the Atlanta fans- who also seemed to have victory "guaranteed" before the final gun.

Sling, hope springs eternal doesn't it. You keep hoping, dude. How has that worked out for you? If Singer' system worked for you then you should be rich by now. How's that working for you, big fella? Or are you still a nickel video poker player working negative expectation games?

What does my failure as a VP player have to do with Trump/Brady?

It's the alcoholic talking to you sling. mickey can't help himself when it comes to booze, cigarettes....or me He's been systematically addicted to them all over the years, and his failure as a human being in virtually every meaningful aspect of life assures continued virtual reality responses from this lowlife.

Yes, I apologize for my stupid reference above. I was reading articles about the excitement of this impeach line and went into a tail spin.

Wow, you guys were worse on me then the media is on Trump. Must have hit a nerve on a site with such perfectionist excellence.

For the record, I never made a bet with any book my whole life. To busy collecting and stuffing my mattresses with all the AP money I was making.
