Do you have a top-tier or second-tier card at non-Caesars properties, but wish you could also be a Caesars Diamond cardholder?

Good news! You can, and it won't cost you a penny.

Caesars is, for the first time ever, doing a status match to certain other properties around the US.

If you have a high-level card at any of the properties listed below, you can visit a Total Rewards (Caesars) property with that card and your ID, and you will automatically get a Diamond card, good until January 31, 2018.

This will not affect your offers or freeplay, but you will be entitled to all of the "base" Diamond benefits!

    Main benefits to Diamond:
    - Free parking (Valet and Self)
    - No resort fees
    - Diamond Lounge access
    - Special (shorter) lines for restaurants, check-in, and casinos
    - Special registration room at World Series of Poker
    - 20% discount (actually more like 15-17%) on Norwegian Cruises
    - 20% discount at casino gift shops

    Multi-Casino Rewards Card Programs
Having an upper tier card (listed below) at one of the following multi-casino rewards programs will earn you Diamond. If you cannot find your rewards program below, your individual casino program may also qualify. Search for the individual property (listed by state), further down in this post.

Thanks for posting, as this will help a lot of people who want to try Caesars/Total Rewards.

Whenever I go to a new casino I have a habit of asking if they will match the status of other casinos. Only one casino has ever matched my Seven Stars at Caesars -- and that was the Pauma casino in San Diego County. It matched my Seven Stars with their highest level but only for four months.

Recently I signed up for players cards at Sams Town and Arizona Charlies and the Fortune Casino in Vegas and none would match a Seven Stars or even offer an upgrade. I even asked at the various bars in Vegas that are members of a multi-bar loyalty card system and the answer was also "no."

Perhaps this move by Caesars will open the door with other casino companies?

    Yes Alan,

And just however did you find out about Pauma's match offer and how they also matched your freeplay?

Alan, I don't know if they still do it, but Cosmo was matching Seven Stars to their highest tier (Platinum), and you even got $100 freeplay for it.

This was years ago, but you might want to inquire about it.

Here is a list of casinos that Seven Stars Insider put together, but notice that this list is east coast heavy, since that's where the author is from: https://sites.google.com/site/sevens...evenstarstrip2

Cosmo only did the Seven Stars-to-Platinum match the first few months they were open. Their $100 promo (if you lose $100 in slots, you get $100 in freeplay) lasted off and on awhile longer, but now that's also gone.

I can't think of any Vegas casinos that will match TR status except for Golden Nugget.

So now I wonder if GN will upgrade me in Biloxi because a) I'm double platinum at Hard Rock or b) I will be diamond shortly at Harrah's? Could become a domino effect!

I'm familiar with a few of these local programs. The coin in requirements are higher than Diamond - like $100K every 6 months in the ones I remember - for relatively few benefits. Nice idea for CET to try to get some of those folks in the door, but may mean more crowded Diamond lounges at some properties in the short term.

I'll be honest -- most of these other programs really suck, at least as far as guaranteed benefits go.

I realize that Caesars is notoriously stingy with freeplay and RFB comps, but they win hands down when it comes to guaranteed benefits.

It's not worth it to run up your card to the aforementioned levels of these other programs, just to get Diamond at Caesars.

However, if you're already a holder of one of these upper tier cards, then it's a no-brainer to go get your free Diamond.

I am hoping that MGM follows suit, and gives a status match to Platinum to Diamond/Seven Stars cardholders.

Gotta admit I'm disappointed this only includes the 3 Gila river Indian tribe Casinos here in Phoenix metro and not the Salt river ones Talking Stick and Casino arizona do more business easily then the three Gila River Casinos (Veequiva, Wild horse Pass, etc). TSR has the biggest poker room in the state to boot and it's where the big names play including DonkeyBomber and Jake Balsinger. Hopefully the SRP casinos will be added soon.

While this thread has little direct value to me, I want to thank Dan for the comprehensive post, as I will share it with all of my friends who are Diamond and above and cite Dan as the source. This is a real resource, and I thank him for putting it all together.

It's actually the other way around!

Friends who are already Diamond don't need this.

Friends with higher tier casino cards who want Diamond DO need this.

I harvested this information from this link: https://www.caesars.com/total-reward...9fc0a8b16fd0c3

    I then reorganized it.

However, not surprisingly, the information provided by Caesars was not completely correct.

They left off various casinos which were part of "group casino" cards (such as most of the Stations casinos).

Basically, if you qualify from one property in the group, you qualify for all, because the cards are not property specific. So if you're a President or Chairman at Club Palms, you're also a President and Chairman at the other Stations casinos.

Then I also found this: https://www.caesars.com/caesars-ac/c...d#.WT3VwWgrKUk

This link lists two other properties on the east coast -- Empire Casino (Yonkers, NY) and Resorts World (Atlantic City).

However, they only say you need a "premium" card, and do not list specifically list card you need to attain. But you might want to check into this at a Total Rewards desk in AC if you have a high card at those two properties.

I was thinking, and there may actually be an angle to this whole thing, provided that the promotion lasts for awhile, and provided that they bring it back next year.

The other casino programs are on different timetables.

So let's take the Golden Nugget. They will status match Seven Stars and Diamonds to Elite, and that will last 3 months.

So let's say your Diamond expires on January 31, 2018.

You go into Golden Nugget sometime in January 2018, and get status matched to Elite.

Then, provided this program still exists, you can get Diamond again by matching your Golden Nugget Elite card sometime before your status expires 3 months later!

This trick would work because the status match is open to new AND existing Total Rewards members.

The Golden Nugget match is only good for new cards, so this would only work once. But it's still an interesting angle which might work.

Thanks! Already got the GN card here in Biloxi. Do I need a new one in Vegas or am I SOL?

The CET Diamond Tier Match ends on September 30 2017. Also, you can only upgrade thru other casinos that do their card level match once.

Thanks for the info. I do think it's possible that they will bring back this promotion in 2018, though.

At the moment, Caesars is unique in that they will do this match for EXISTING cardholders, so again there may be an angle here, provided the status match comes back next year.

It should. All Total Rewards centers should do this status match for you, provided you have one of the other casino's cards listed above.
