Thread: Repeater bet odds in craps

I found the patent application for the repeater bets in craps with the odds.

First number is the number on the dice, followed by the number of times that number must be rolled, followed by the true odds of hitting, followed by the odds offered by the casino and then the house edge.

    Repeating “2” 2X 48:1 40 for 1 18.4%
    Repeating “12” 2X

    Repeating “3” 3X 63:1 50 for 1 21.9%
    Repeating “11” 3X

    Repeating “4” 4X 80:1 65 for 1 19.8%
    Repeating “10” 4X

    Repeating “5” 5X ~100:1  80 for 1 ~20.8%
    Repeating “9” 5X

    Repeating “6” 6X ~112:1  90 for 1 ~20.4%
    Repeating “8” 6X

In the case of Caesars, the dealers envy bet does not impact the payoffs to the player, and the money comes from the casino to pay the dealers.

I can see the payouts being reduced in the future so that the players are paying that "envy bet".

Doesn't matter to me as I would not play the repeater, but that seems to be the Caesars way now.

When I was at Caesars, the tables that were popular were the Bonus Craps tables. Half of the tables have the repeater bets and they were mostly empty.

I've seen the repeater bets at the M casino and also at Sam's Town and NO ONE played them.

I really wonder if the repeater bets will survive a year. Even with the reduced pays the Bonus Craps bets are just as popular as they have always been.

Hope they show up down on the coast. I sure throw 3,s and 11,s off the Hardway or All 7's set.

I saw the repeater bets the first time at Planet Hollywood in April. Betting on them was sporadic, but someone did have $5 on the 5 and hit it twice. I don't know how new it was at PH, but the dealers were constantly forgetting to take the bet down after a seven and forgetting to mark the number after it hit. The dealer bet at Caesars maybe for the extra work involved, which seems to be quite a bit more than for the Small-All-Tall. Older male dealers kept complaining about the size of the pea-sized markers they had to use and the way they were stored in little grooved holders on the inside of the table. One couldn't get his finger into the holder to slide out a marker. I visited all the CET casinos in April, and PH was the only one with the repeater bet.

Those markers are tiny. At both Sam's Town and the M Casino there are box men who take care of the repeaters. At Caesars the repeaters were added just a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes players have to remind the dealers to mark the Small Tall All bets, too.

There was no action on this when I was there. Dealers confirmed when I asked about it.
