They barely ended up showing my table.

I finished Day 2 with a little above average stack (165k chips).

    Day 3 is Thursday.
Check out my poker forum, and weekly internet radio show at http://pokerfraudalert.com

They showed Sura a couple of times, but that was it (plus a Sura interview). Anyway, good luck and kill 'em, baby.

Do you have a set routine for the day off or do you wing it based on how you feel?

Good luck Dan. Although I don't watch poker on TV, I did try to watch last night but power outage here. But please do let us know how you're doing.

Yeah, they like to mainly focus on the "superstars" and a few of the celebrities.

And thanks for fixing the title. Auto-correct on my new phone is shitty. Plus we were in the middle of a great blackjack game.

Dan, did you win a seat in a satellite this year, or did you pay cash?

  9. #9
Dan went way down and came way back with 33 and a 3 on the flop. He's sitting with roughly the same amount of chips with which he started the day. It is going to be a long day, as they are supposed to play to the cashing point.

Still a long way to go before only 1084 left.

No way I'm paying for PokerGo. Plus I've been hearing the video stream on it sucks.

Latest update on wsop is he's down to 67,000 in chips.

  12. #12
They just came back from dinner, so it's crunch time.

  13. #13
    He's out.

  14. #14
That's gotta be draining. They won't call it a day until another 300-some are eliminated.

At least he didn't get knocked out like Joseph Stiers. Apparently he was booted from HS Baltimore for counting cards a few years ago and permanently barred but snuck in anyway. Tourney officials figured him out and have him the heave ho tonight. What a way to lose $10k lol.

    They didn't refund the $10K??

No word on that. They did say on the updates that the prize pool would not be affected.

On a side note. He had over 600k in chips. I'd be pissed if I got knocked out by him considering he should've never been there in the first place.

If it's the same person... Joseph Stiers... he played in some other events and was even mentioned in the WSOP updates. I think if you take a player out you must return his buy-in. Remember the WSOP keeps a portion of that buy-in as fees. It doesn't all go to the player pool.

I think the dude has grounds for a lawsuit. He was 86'd from a property in Maryland not Nevada. How can that carry over to another state? Regnis would know more about this than me.

He and many others are filing lawsuits against the casinos in Maryland. Since card counting is not illegal, the casino has had to find other reasons to bar players. In most cases, the just use the "we can bar anyone for any reason-we don't want your business" type reason. In Stiers' case, they cited drunkenness and behavior, although that was "fake news".

That Maryland casinos, for whatever reason, are aggressive in gunning for good players. Probably paying too high of an income tax. I have been to the Arundel Mills casino when in Maryland for racing. It is a nice casino in a mall area with good restaurants, etc. All I played was a little VP with bad pay tables.Haven't been to the Horseshoe.

I question his being banned from all Caesars properties and thus the exclusion from the WSOP. If they don't want to let him play blackjack, that may be permissible, although they should just "shuffle him" so that he won't play there. But there is no reason to ban him from the WSOP if the drunkenness and behavior allegations are in fact false. I think he will ultimately win or force some sort of settlement on the WSOP part of it.
